COIN PURSE

I went shopping with a friend the other day and she almost had a cow (truly) right there in the store when she saw me drop my change in the bottom of my purse.


 It shamed me....

 Do I not have purse etiquette?  (NADDA)

 Do I not have any since of organization?  (NOPE)

 I guess not...

I think the whole store could have heard a pin drop when she Gasped. so...


ashamed as I was...


 I went home and made myself a coin purse. I just need to poke out the corners and all will be well.

 I think this little coin purse is about 3 1/2" long and 2 1/2 inches wide.

 Does the trick.

 Now I can't wait to drop coins in my little purse so my friend can see....who is embarrassed now.    Oh trust me, she will want one...

    That is so funny, Barb! My mother used to throw all her change into the bottom of her purse and when she needed some, she would just put her hand in and scoop up a handful of coins and look through them for what she needed! One time she let us dump her purse out and count the change...over $75 of change weighing her down! Yikes!

    Your little coin purse is just darling...I have no doubt all your friends will want one!

    I always drop the change into the bottom of my purse Then every Friday I clean it out And put it in my coin jar. Your little coin purse is so cute i made one for me A while back but it's too much trouble to pull out every time I need to put change in my purse I guess I'm just lazy L O L I really like the one you made

    lolol You make me laugh :) I think I'll start dropping my change in my purse just because it sounds so fun and carefree, and I'd love to rock someone's world at my devil-may-care attitude. ;D But that coin purse is seriously cute. . .

    Love your change purse. I, too, am bad about dropping my change into the bottom of my purse. I have a question. My email of your blog post had something about a pattern tester, but when I came here, it disappeared. What happened? LOL

    LOL, that is too funny. When I carried a purse i use to do the same thing. Now I don't carry a purse, so I get rid of the change as fast as I can, so I don't have to waste time rolling it.

    Shame on you!! I don't have that problem, because I don't carry a handbag. And, I'm one of those exact change nuts, so it never accumulates! Cute little coin purse.

    I do the same thing. Then when my purse gets heavy I dump it all in a piggy bank and take it to coinstar when it's full.

    Too funny, as I'm right there with you. I love coin purses and will make them for gifts. But do I have one in my purse? No. Coins go right to the bottom. Thanks for inspiring me to make a cute coin purse.

    I have a coin purse, but I drop my coins in my purse a lot, too (hey, I'm busy, and they usually want you out of those cashier lines ASAP). :)

    The change purse is very sweet Barb! I don't have a problem with tossing your change at the bottom of your purse either though! It is the "small stuff" not to be sweated! Also, it makes for a little surprise when you change purses...bonus money find! Have a great day!

    So funny but everyone needs a little change purse , I am just in the process of making a coin purse but mine has a clasp but yours looks easier except for zipper. I have never been good on zippers!!

    That is cute little change purse. . I'd probably be more likely to use it for make-up or gum, though. I bring any change home (in the small change purse in my wallet) and immediately put it in the piggy bank in my son's room.

    I usually drop my coins into the inside zipper of my purse. Is that bad, too? Do I need to make a coin purse? Your solution is very cute and will serve you well.

    You are just too funny. I'm a drop the $$ in the bottom of the purse too. Just bought a giant bag so the $$ wouldn't fall out. And it's pretty easy to find--just feel around in the bottom, right!?!? My little change purse is not as pretty--but it's harder to dig the change out of it. I may have to make a little change purse like yours.
