I am sure some of you already know, if you have been over to sew cals, then you have seen what she has done with this new software "MyMemories Tutorial to Create Blog Headers". She is also have a giveaway of this same software.
She wanted an experimental blog and well.....I was her guinea pig...whohoooo, am I a luck gal or what?
I so enjoy my new header and background, Sew cal did an amazing job.
I am almost certain that most of you are familiar with her and her wonderful insightful blog but if not, you certainly have been missing out.
---------------------------------
I have decided to just grin and bear this new blogger, was told that we were going to lose our old blogger anyways....is causing me some frustration but I am sure once I get use to it, all will be well. You know us old dogs, it is hard to teach us new tricks.
---------------------------------
Husband is home today and once again, he wants to go running around. ...this old dog is tired...... so he says....we can make a trip to JoAnn's...I am laughing because he just wants me in the car with him. I will let you know later if it worked!
Will be gone for the next three weeks (I can tell you that because someone will be in this home, be it my husband or son)....but will be posting for the Reindeer Games. see my side bar button. Caroll has been in and out, I will be in and out...we discussed postponing the games but hey...if you all are willing to work with our comings and going and any mishaps...then we are willing to continue on...I believe we will begin May 11th.
Get your background fabric ready, your scraps of browns and a few Christmas scraps (remember Inchworm fabrics has some cute Christmas snowflake fabric). Shameless plug for my sister. I will let you in on a little secret, my blocks are 12 1/2 and you need nine of them. Just so you know.
The question is....do you want to see the whole quilt before you commit? Do you want it all to be a secret until the end? What do most BOM's do? Ours will be bi monthly (BMB)....and Remember, Caroll's quilt will be different, we are going to give virations.....
Love the header and background. Terry changes mine every once in awhile. It is always a nice surprise.
ReplyDeleteI was aready admiring your new header , looks wonderful , sure would like to be able to change mine .The last time I tried BLogger would not even allow me to change the header , go figure . Enjoy your three weeks away :-)
ReplyDeleteYour new header looks so neat and clean.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear whether you are running errands or staying home.

I love your new header and the background. SewCal did a great job. The BOMs I have done I don't think there was a finished quilt so we knew what it would look. It doesn't matter which way you do it, I will go with the majority. I have background for 2 quilts. :D
ReplyDeleteBarb, I just love your new look! crisp, clean, and showcases your work. So very pretty!
ReplyDeleteYes I am afraid new blogger is here to stay! I am also trying "make it work"
great new look!
ReplyDeleteI saw the new header on SewCalGal yesterday and do love it. That software sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely Barb. Hope you have fun while away.

ReplyDeleteBarb, glad you mentioned about our upcoming BOM. I'll have to get busy and do that too! I'm back now so maybe I can get going on this. Hope everyone likes our BOM. It should be fun!
ReplyDeleteI have learned that I always want to see it before I commit unless it is a sampler quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love your new header and background!! I love using My Memories Suite to update my blog. It allows me to be more creative!!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks terrific. I know it has been awhile. Larry & I have been out of town every weekend for the past 3 months, cleaning out and fixing up his Dad's house. We finally took a weekend off and I'm trying to catch up. Everyone has been SO productive and I have scarecly had time to thread a needle. Sigh. I hope everything has been going really well for you. We've actually enjoyed working on Dad's house a great deal, but it's not the same as quilting. 8)
Take care,
Susan in Texas
Hey new blogger isn't all that different from old blogger. So don't worry. You'll catch on.
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly looking forward to Reindeer Games. I hear they are pretty frisky when they play. I just hope I can keep up with you and the other particpants!
