WIND BLOWING THROUGH MY HAIR!!

Well, I only did part of what I said I was going to do....

I finished this stitchery....and I have to confess....I LOOOOVEEE IT!!!

Now there is a story behind this next stitchery. Caroll from The Attic Window Quilt Shop read my post awhile back titled ,"The Glue that Binds", and infact there has been several mentions of me putting my foot to the pedal, feeling the wind blow through my hair but I guess this day she just could not shake the thought and so she drew this picture and sent it over to me.

I originally wanted to make it an applique (infact, she recently sent over a pattern to do it in applique). I even made my own but It think her new one is better than what I have going. Well....that being said, since I have come to love stitching, I decided to stitch it up. It needs to be washed but I just couldn't wait to show you.

I do have one thing to say. I sew with my bare feet.....

I am fully clothed tho but not in a dress, maybe a Mumuu, especially now that David is living with us.

I will confess, if I were to be wearing a pair of shoes it would not be the granny shoes you see there (thanks Caroll).....nope...no granny shoes for me. Maybe flip flops....and notice the flower in the hair, I love it!!. Yep....this is me..... Didn't she do a fantastic job!!!!!! Thanks so much Carol, I love this!!

  4. I would have done just what she did on the feet - even though I sew barefoot too- it simplifies the design. She had already put in a hand- with fingers! Might I say, she cleverly hid the other hand, giving just enough to let you know it is there.
And yes, please sew clothed - we wouldn't want you to scar David for life! hehehehee

  5. That is so cute! You know though, I know that pedal to the medal and wind through my hair feeling when sewing. Isn't it wonderful?

  16. I don't wear shoes in my house so I sew in stocking feet! It's more comfortable anyway. I also work at my computer all day that way bz it feels better using my foot pedal that way. I love this Wind Blowing In My Hair. I kind of felt like that yesterday as I put borders on a queen-sized quilt. It's all done now except for buying the back fabric, getting it quilted, and binding it. I've wanted to remake this pattern for myself for some time so it was just pure fun to do! Hope you're having a great day!
