My husband and didn't realize we had collected so many shells while living in Amerika Samoa....
Got this glass container from Hobby Lobby for half off....what do you think?
Having quilts being used all the time in the living room, well it is a pain to take up stairs and then where is the quilt when you need it???
So this is our end tables (there are two).....I just fold the quilts up and put them under the table? So what do you think?
Right now I think I should get off my laurels and get busy.....
I say yes and YES!
ReplyDeleteI love both ideas, Barb. The shells look great and I think that is a perfect place for quilts!
ReplyDeleteLaurels? Is that the name you have given to your two butt cheeks? Nice....Mine are Jelly Cheek 1 and Jelly Cheek 2 :)
ReplyDeleteI love the shells in the vase....a nice warm place to gaze when it snowing and raining.
Smiles,
Kelly
Love the shells and the container! You really got some beauties while living in Am. Samoa! Quilts looks great folded in the table!!
ReplyDeleteBeau-ti-ful......i remember Mom filling a glass lamp with shells we collected on Sannible Island...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
I have a bunch of seashells from Florida in a box in the basement. I think I need to find myself a container like that to put mine in.
ReplyDeleteI think you are terrific, and the decorating is not bad either.
ReplyDeleteLove the vase of shells. I have one that is filled with sparkly gold christmas ball. As for the quilts, I'd just fold them and drape them over the arm of the sofa when not in use. I see them done that way in the design magazines.
ReplyDeleteI think I need an endtable like that, too!
ReplyDeleteLove you shell collection. I think all quilters needs to have quilts in all their rooms, well almost all.
ReplyDeleteI love the shell idea Reminds of the movie with Jack Nickason
ReplyDeleteand the quilts thats a good idea also
I love your shells - so summery. I also like the idea of keeping the 'tv quilts' right where you need them.
ReplyDeleteLove the shells. What a great way to display them. Nola
ReplyDeleteYou have great ideas! I keep a quilt draped over the back of the sofa.
ReplyDeleteI have seen lamps that you can put shells in like that. I don't know where to get them so I am not much help. I love the vase.
ReplyDeleteWe have collected seashells over the years, have the same idea as you have, storing in a clear glass vessel.
ReplyDeleteI love sea shells and I love being able to see the quilts, so A+ on both ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love the seashells in the glass container. I have a jar full of shells but I have many more shells that I have collected.
ReplyDeleteBoth work for me, especially since I do the same with the end tables and our quilts! LOL
ReplyDeleteunder the end tables...why didn't I think of that! Your shells are lovely
ReplyDeleteHave a great week...love the shells!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Wonderful display's girlfriend!
ReplyDeletexx, shell

I have quilts stashed all over the house...I say put them wherever there is an empty space! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI like your quilts under the table. neat idea.
ReplyDeleteI think you had a couple of great ideas :0)
ReplyDeleteCrispy
Both additions to decor are sooooper Dooooper! Nicely done.
ReplyDeletePat
I love both ideas. I have a jar about half that size full of shells in the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteGet a quilt rack - then you can show them off as well
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at you! You are organized. Great ideas.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the quilts under the end tables - looks very pretty. My sister has a big jar of shells too on her kitchen table. They are such a beautiful natural sculpture. Excellent decorating!
ReplyDeleteLove the seashells, I've collected sea glass and sea shells from all over the US and Mexico. It's a great idea to put them in the glass jar. The quilts look wonderful stacked up there, easy to grab one when you need it.
ReplyDeleteI love the seashells in there. I'm really loving things from the beach and h ave done my quilting sanctuary into a Hawaiian beach-themed area...sort of. Of course we both know I only have 10 more months of having a sewing sanctuary anyway so I don't want to go too crazy with it but Travis' Hawaiian stuff that he's been given will of course stay in there.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing on my end tables in the front room. It seems to be the place of choice for an afternoon nap (no TV in the front room) so having a quilt handy is the perfect solution.
I love the shells, and maybe you can get one of those quilt ladders to hang!
ReplyDeleteLove the shell display. Gret storage idea for quilts too!
ReplyDeleteLove your shells and now you can enjoy them everyday! Super spot for your quilts too!
ReplyDeletelove it Barb
ReplyDeleteI love your shells and especially getting the container at half off. (good shopping, Barb)
ReplyDeleteQuilts are all over my house...so one is always handy for cool nights. What cool nights? I live in Texas. lol
