This is the view from my hotel window!!!
MOMMMMMMMMIEEEE!!!!
You guessed it, I am squealing like a stuck pig......
Here is one mug rug, I like them long...these are scraps from the snowman quilt below.
Can't you just see a bowl of soup and crackers on one of these mug rugs?
I do have some bowls in the car that I could have staged on one of these rugs for you....but not!!!!! Not going outside...not for love or money...not even for food.....
Want to see more mug rugs, go to Pins and Needles and Inchworm Fabrics....can never see too many for different ways to make them.
Barb, I keep seeing the mug rugs all over. I may have to make one.
ReplyDeleteCan you give me the dimensions of this mug rug pls?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like about snow is that it makes a beautiful picture. I'm sure you are looking for an airport about now so you can go back to warmer weather. I hope you have everything you need: fabric, thread, batting?
ReplyDeleteYah for SNOW!!!! At least you are a very well prepared traveling quilter and I'm sure you have plenty to keep you busy and warm inside - welcome to the east coast hun!! :)
ReplyDeleteMake sure you have nice warm thick socks then get out there and enjoy it. Snow is so beautiful and peaceful. Of course I'm saying this from my little island in the sun. How's the machine, are you loving it yet?
ReplyDeleteYep, you've had too many years in the tropics LOL. If you don't go out in the stuff you will never get acclimated to the cold weather. It's amazing how quickly you can get used to cold weather (a voice of experience here, where 20 degrees means you don't have to wear a coat LOL).
ReplyDeleteCrispy
Oh, you got here just in time to enjoy the wonderful winter weather. I love it, as long as I can stay inside, but unfortunately, I still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do. Stay inside and make some more good stuff to show us.
ReplyDeleteNot for love or money, what about for fabric :)
ReplyDeleteI don't care for snow either. Try and stay warm.. love the mug rugs.
Barb, I am with you. If it snowed here I would be inside till the spring. LOL! I have actually only been to the snow one day in my life and most of it was man-made. It is NOT for me. I hope Crispy is right! I am sitting here with the heater on and it is 53 outside. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. Love the snow pic. Looks like a lot of us might have a White Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, I just love your mug rug.
ReplyDeleteWillow
I love making mug rugs. Instant gratification :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Barb. Aren't they addicting????
ReplyDeleteWow...it looks cold there. Have you figured out that you are not in AS anymore?
Ha!Ha! Ha! It's Christmas time! All four seasons are back to get you! Enjoy them! lol Go make a snowman!
ReplyDeleteOh, the weather outside is frightful, and sewing is so delightful. And, since there's no place to go. Let us sew. Lew us sew. Let us sew.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love it. I think C and me are going to be making some of these. Hugs
ReplyDeleteCute mug, and I agree with you...I like them longer. I've lived in the midwest all my life, and I'm not sure I will ever get used to being cold.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as cold and snowy as it did here today. Love your mug rugs!
ReplyDeleteMicki
Sorry it's cold outside. Your little mug rug is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour snowman quilt is adorable too, I bet you're having so much fun with the new machine.
Hey Barb, that snow is beautiful! So glad it is in VA and not TX! I love the idea of a bigger mug rug. I need to make some of these myself!
ReplyDeleteCute mug rug! How big did you make yours? These would make some quick and interesting gifts for Christmas. Don't worry about the squealing! I'd be doing that too if I had just left a warm, tropical island for a land of cold and snow.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty and cold.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to extend them out longer...very smart!
ReplyDeleteBurrrrr!! I wouldn't go out either!
ReplyDeleteOh room service...I would like one Grande Breve Latte from Starbucks and do hurry! ;)
xx, shell
Seems like everyone is making mug rugs but me! Cute!
ReplyDeleteGo directly to the Lands End website and order yourself some winter gear. You my friend will need head to toe coverage if you ever intend to leave that room, lol. Meanwhile, between room service, hubby and a good supply of sewing supplies you should do okay. Does Starbucks deliver? That sounds gooooooood! Hang in there kiddo!! :-D
ReplyDeleteBrrrh. I got a big chill just looking at your hotel room view. Definitely a good day to stay inside and quilt. Order room service, quilt, order room service. BTW..Will room service deliver batting, thread, fabric? What about chocolate? Inquiring minds want to know.

Awww, those are so cute. I've been seeing them all over too. I like your large one better.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr...looks like the view from my window. Love your mug rug!
ReplyDeleteYour mugrugs are great, I agree, I prefer them long so I can put a mug and some biccies on at the same time. As for the snow, I don't blame you for not going out and you're in a hotel so they'll bring food to you if you ask them, won't they?
ReplyDeleteSigh...that's what it looks like outside my window too. I'm already dreaming of spring.
ReplyDeleteGreat mug rug though. I like the larger size!
Brrr....Barb. Quite a change for you and Vance. I love your Mug Rugs and will have to make some.
ReplyDeleteI would squeel too if I looked out of my window and saw snow. Here we dont get it....only up on the mountains. Still havent seen it in real life. One day. Love your mug rugs :)
ReplyDeletehugs Vicki
Love you mug rugs! Nola
ReplyDeleteThis mug rug is great.
ReplyDeleteI can see it with a glass of wine and cheese and crackers, or wine and nuts, or two glasses of wine, lol...
xo
I am not sure how I missed this mug rug frenzy, but I just learned about these this week with posts on my blog. I love your holiday one! So many possibilities and it's scrap friendly!
ReplyDeleteKindly keep that weather on your side of the country... thanks! :-D
ReplyDeleteDon't miss it, nope... not one bit. I remember the mad dashes by folks to the grocery store for white bread, milk and toilet paper! And that was at the first sign of a flake or two!
DH did get snowed in at work one year. We lived three miles from the inner harbor (Baltimore) and he relieved a guy working so that guy could get home to DC suburbs. Good thing! Hubby was at work for 3 days! I packed him lots of food... he was fine.
Now I see those numbers! How cool!!!
Cute mug rug, too!
...Karen
The mug rug is so cute - keep your snow out and pretty fabrics in with a good cuppa and something for sustenance.
