but this block in my book is called something different
not the Whirling Hexagon, so...now we know that is one name. Go below, look at the picture and give me another name.....we can see how many names we can get for this one block.
The link was courtesy of Jen from Patchwork Possibilities and Sew much more
Can't say I have ever seen a name with it.
ReplyDeleteI would guess Whirlygig! Just a guess!

Ok, how about Maple Leaf?

How about Kansas Twister, Texas Trellis, Twirling Hexagon and whirligig.
ReplyDeleteNo idea, but I just LOVE that giveaway quilt at Inchworm Fabrics. Stacked crayolas, what a great idea!

I would agree with Whirligig. I'm not good on block names (and not on quilt names, either, now that I think about it).
ReplyDeleteI think it could be a Wagon Wheel - well that's what it makes me think of........... Hugz
ReplyDeleteOne you won't find me doing cuz I am not good at piecing...
ReplyDeletewater wheel?
ReplyDeleteI know this as the Whirling hexagon. Check out Quilters Cache, Marcia has it on her site.
ReplyDeleteHow about Spinning Hexagon or Star in my Hexagon.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a variation combining kalidoscope (spelling?) and World without end blocks. My mother made a quilt with it many years ago (pre 90s) but her pattern called it wheel of fortune.
