Most of you said you wanted the 2 1/2 inch strip cutter....
I have had this fabric (scraps) I purchased from Hilo Hatties in Hawaii about 5 years ago. Never knowing what I wanted to do with it....
Well yesterday I got a hankering for stripping (trust me it was hot enough to truly strip)...but a stripping I went. This took me no time at all. Now to do a strip square, or just a long stip across and down to make a quilt? HUMMMMM
I told all of you that my friend Krsta came by Monday....and it is now Wednesday and this is what she has done since we cut out her tumblers (and she has four sons).
I have had alot of people mention some of your names....even if you have follower that don't want this cutter, have them come and just mention your name and tell me that they are not entering but just coming to my blog for you and I will give you two entries, one for that person and one for you.....hopefully, they will see all the fun stuff they can do and want to enter. The reason I am saying this is because I had a few come over just to enter someone's name....what a true friend.
Oh...you are TORTURING me with all of this!!!!!! I had a lot come over here to post but most didn't mention my name as they were wanting to post for themselves. Oh, well.....that's okay. I feel either I will be lucky and be one of the 5 in your "finals" or I won't.......and it probably won't make a difference if I have 1 or 2 entries or 10. LOL Your friend's tumbler top looks terrific! (I'm sure the next time you post, we will see your strips already made into a top...right?)
ReplyDeleteOh, i just love Hilo Hatties!!!
ReplyDeleteFINALLY, someone who can understand where I'm coming from :) :) :)
Oh, I just NEED to win! My choice of dies would include Go! Circle, Go! Rag Square 5 1/4 inch and Go! Fall Medley.
ReplyDeleteNow I didn't know they had fabric at Hilo Hatties! I would have hoppped on their bus and skedaddled over there. Especially for those flamingos!
ReplyDeleteNo one has even read my blog about the giveaway, however one entry can win. I really want it for Pat she will get a lot of use and I could use it also once in a while. Keeping my fingers crossed
ReplyDeleteI really like the fabrics your friend chose. She has a very cute quilt in no time thanks to you sharing your new toy! Way to Go! ;cD
ReplyDeleteI need one of those someday! I have rotary cutter itis in my shoulder and had to stop cutting for a couple of days,UGH!
ReplyDeleteKrista's quilt turned out beautiful. With four boys under foot, this is probably the fastest quilt she has made. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are having waaaay too much fun, Barb!!!
ReplyDeletehow cool for people to be entering someone else's name......i want me or Pat to win, either me or her and I'd be just as happy. seriously
ReplyDeleteBarb, the stripper is big on my list too. Think about it...I could invite all the guys over and say "Hey wanna see my own personal stripper?"
ReplyDeleteHa ha just kidding. But maybe if I get one I can do some stripper videos on youtube.
Okay, Don't even say it, I know I am bad. But the Go! oh so good....I am still waiting for mine. I seriously want the strip cutter.
Great post, but I love Gene's comment. Not sure if he has seen the AccuQuilt video that shows the top ten reasons "men" need an AccuQuilt. Great video!

Glad to se your having lots and lots of fun with your new toy. BUTTTTT I have a great idea If I am not the winner I think I should be able to send you my fabric and you can cut them for me. SHHHH maybe I have to tell all the losers to send there material to you to cut. LOL. Your making it look soooooo easy that we all want it.
ReplyDeletePS----I wrote about your give-away on my blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, sorry to bother you but you said that I wasn't set up to receive hotmail. I was playing with my settings last night and was hoping that you would check it for me to see if I got it right. I'm not very good with computers. Thank you very much and I love your friends quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks again.
Pretty soon Krista will be piecing 3 quilt tops in 2 days!
ReplyDeleteI'm really thrilled that you won the GO and I'm not surprised at all that you're having so much fun with it.
I'm with Sherry...If I don't win, can I send you fabric to cut for me? Pretty please?
Its great that you are loving your new toy and I know that I have seen both Pat and Gene recommend that people come to your blog to enter the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am drowning in a sea of paperwork at school right now so I am not sure if I will get a post in before the cut off. Whoever wins will love the accu go-
And the first one could not have gone to a more appropriate winner-YOU look at all the great advertising and fun you are sharing.. What better example could you be..
It is amazing what machines we have these days to do things..
Regards,
Anna

ReplyDeleteWell, I see you did a lot of "stripping" yesterday with it being so hot!
ReplyDeleteOh..there's so many dies I would want, but the 2 1/2" stripper would be high on my list.
Have fun.
Ok..I just had to come back here to tell you I blogged about this and have tweeted about it a few times and requested Re-Tweets from others....yay! I'm winning it!
ReplyDeleteTumbler quilts are fun and I have a fondness for strip quilts as well (hence my addiction to jelly rolls)!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your strip quilt Barb.. That's another beautiful tumbler quilt. Tell your friend way to go. Oh, I need some friends that will give up the go and comment with my name. Hmmm. I think they all might come over and change their mind and enter themselves. LOL
