My Earthquakometer (new word, just made it up)

You see this apron, (you have seen it before a friend made it for me, I won't wear it because I love it)....anyways.....sometimes when I am sitting at my machine, the earth will move and I will think to myself...."Was that an earthquake"? All I have to do is look at this apron and I will know for sure it was an earthquake because it will be swinging...

We just had an earthquake and I didn't even have to look at the apron....the earth was moving enough that there was no question that it was an earth quake.....

I am coming home MOMMA!!!!! I don't like it when the earth moves.....it is not suppose to move.....and no...I have not been drinking...never touch the stuff but if we have enough of these I just might (only kidding).

  3. I don't like those earthquakes either. Grew up in an Earthquake zone and hated that rumbling sound of the ground before things started to shake. Better to have those little tremors than the big One.

  4. I feel so sorry for you. I don't like it when the earth moves either. I experienced a couple earthquakes when I lived in California and I know it's no fun. Hang in there!

  6. Oh boy Barb! I don't envy you! We don't usually get earthquakes around here, but a few years ago there was a very small one. It was all the talk for such a long time! I grew up in California where they are pretty common, but here in New England it's the big snow storms we talk about now! One is on its way for Wednesday...maybe no school!

    Nice apron, by the way!

  7. Oh my gosh Barb I think you've just made me glad I'm sitting on the Saskatchewan prairie. You keep a close eye on that lovely apron and be safe.

  10. I know what are you talking about, we just had an earthquake tonight, sometimes I'm sitting at the computer and I get dizzy, wondering what happened, lol. Last year (january) we had a powerful one with a lot of damage and deaths, I can't get used to them, *sigh*.

  11. They say dogs & cats have special signals for eartquakes, so I fully accept your apron as a sign of an earthquake. But, most importantly, I want to know you are safe.

  14. I remember earthquakes from way back when growing up. Never did like them. I can only imagine how scary it must be there after all the other weather trouble the area has had.

  15. I'm glad it wasn't a bad one...but I'd not want to be in ANY one...no matter how small.

  16. Holy Smokes....Danger Will Robinson Danger!!! What you need is the ability to jump up high....when the ground moves....jump up in the air....you won't feel it. Perhaps you could put one of those motors on a lawnchair or something. It sure beats drinking!!!

I'm sorry you were scared....no one likes to be scared.

    Hugs,
