REMEMBER THIS ONE???
This is the quilt I made for my friend from my last work place. She is totally awesome and well, it is past her birthday (am I bad or what)? Well, it is also for her retirement next year this time. So I am late, early...whatever!!!
To put my disclaimer in, I do not drink, I am not advertising drinking, this quilt just suits my sweet friend.
I have an awesome backing, I would show it to you but I didn't realize that it has a girl with just a lei for a shirt...it is not bad but I don't dare put it on here. I didn't realize it until it was too late and the back is just wonderful even if she was not on there. Oh well....am I bad again? My mistake.
One time I made a quilt for my son's graduation, it has class of 2002 on it and well, the "cl" got cut off in parts of the quilt. I never realized it until completed.....and one of the boys saw it... what a hoot they got, they will never let me live that one down.
I too like that quilt Barb. I am sure your friend will just love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt Barb! I'm sure your friend will love it.
ReplyDelete(And I would have shown the back - lady with lei and all! But I'm most definitely, a bad girl!) :)
I think your stories about the gal with the lei for a shirt and Class of 2002 with the C being cut off are really funny!!! I'm sure your friend will love her quilt...whether it's late for her b'day or early for her retirement.
ReplyDeleteWill it be finished in time for retirement? LOL....I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteI have that pattern but never got around to making it. I'll have to find it. You did a really nice job B arb.
ReplyDeleteYour friend is going to love the quilt, and even without drinking, the sentiment fits with workers everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYou are not "bad" you are "good" for making that beautiful quilt for your friend!!
ReplyDeleteLeave it to boys to find the word LOL.

Wow! what a great quilt. Great fabrics and great design, fun fun.
ReplyDeleteI think your little quilt is cute!!! as a button. I don't drink either but I do like your quilt.
ReplyDeletePrim Blessings
Chris
Too funny...it happens. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute quilt, but not what I'd expect. The class quilt gave me a smile. We get so close to our work that we don't see little things like that. But a teen boy would surely catch it...and probably the topless girl, too. Lane
ReplyDeleteI love the story about the class of 2002. My kids would remind me of that oops over and over lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt! Am sure your friend will just love it.
ReplyDeleteYou can't be blamed for what is on fabric or what other people like. After all, there are many beautiful fabrics out there that have things "hidden" until you have it made or it has started to be cut. And that doesn't detract from the finished product at all. I'm sure the boys really had a hoot with his quilt--but he loved it just the same as it came from you.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you've done a beautiful job on this quilt~
What a riot, you crack me up. But, it reminds me of a time back in my innocence, when I wanted to buy this beautiful poster. The title on it was "God grows his own". Well, it was pointed out to me that there were couples intertwined in a field of mirajuana! Duh. Explain that one to you parents.
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt! Very fun! Your friend will love it too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny story about your son's quilt!
I remember this one, I like it!
