I found this tutorial making the quilt below. If you are interested, go to BLUE JEAN QUILT GALLERY. I had (notice the past tense) all these old jeans, I spent the afternoon cutting circles for a project for the future. Atleast the jeans are not taking up ugly space now....just a stack of circles neatly in the corner.
This looks like a fun quilt to make.....I enjoyed reading the tutorial...sure seems easy enough, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI found this a while back and have one partial done. It is in my UFO pile right now but I plan to get it done soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is the best looking jeans quilt I have ever seen. It would look spectacular with your Samoan fabrics.
ReplyDeleteCrispy
Barb I will check this one out when I return from my trip. It looks like a cathedral windows but thanks the good lord it is not. It would be too thick to turn down the circle seam and ruly hurt the fingers. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for all those old blue jeans too.
ReplyDeleteGreat design, will be pretty made up..will you use some of your samoan fabrics for the centers?
ReplyDeleteOh I really like that, I need to check it out, way to , use and re-use!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool~ I'll bet it is heavy! :-)
ReplyDeleteI just gave away a big box of old jeans to a Girl Scout troop! Wish I has saved a few. Time to start collecting them again I guess. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteVery, very cool! I love it! Thanks for the link info!
ReplyDeleteFabulous effect. Thanks for the link to the tutorial on the process!
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt! I think I have finally found a purpose for my old 'skinny' jeans. Sigh of relief that they will be repurposed and I dont have to try to squeeze into them again! :)
