It is amazing what a border can do for a quilt. This quilt doesn't look quite so ugly now, the border brought a different look to it. I will be totally honest, I truly felt this was one of the ugliest quilt I have ever seen. I didn't want it and I couldn't give it away. I am so glad that some of you liked it enough to give it a home.
you are so right. It looks really good.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was ugly to begin with, but I agree, it looks a lot better finished.
ReplyDeleteI never thought it was ugly and now this pretty quilt is even MORE beautiful. The winner is a very lucky person...that's for sure!

ReplyDeleteIt really looks great! I know it will be loved.
ReplyDeleteThat is NOT an ugly quilt! A little busy maybe, but with all those lovely colors it will never be ugly to me.

It's about time you realized that it wasn't ugly! I will be sending you the address to mail it to! I just have been super swamped and haven't gotten to my email--and won't post it here for obvious reasons. To all of those of you that are jealous--don't be jealous, just be happy that the quilt has a good home with LOTS of colors to come home to! It will fit into my colorful home quite nicely! I liked it before and love it now!

It was never an ugly quilt, just not your taste.
ReplyDeleteI never thought it was ugly anyway. The blue border does bring it together nicely, though. Wish it was headed my way ☺
ReplyDeleteTo me, it is a work of art and craft .... and means a lot to others like me!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand that you think it was ugly... it never was in my eyes.
