My sister lives in Washington and she has already gotten snow this last week-end while I am here in Texas sweating it out.
This is my pattern "SNOWFLAKE"
The Island Batik Challenge this month is table runner or topper using applique.
I used the blanket stitch.
Here is a peek at the black Hobbs batting. I just had a piece big enough.
I used Aurifil Thread #2720 to quilt this round topper. I didn't have any navy Aurifil for the blanket stitching but you can see the stitching in the background.
Island Batik Blueberry Blender, Coral French fabric that came in out last box, and Island Batik white.
This pattern I made up for the "Desire to Inspire" Challenge that Henry Glass puts on.
I was inspired by a design on the fabric "Holiday Magic" by Jane Spade.
I love doing runners and especially round toppers. I believe I have about 11 topper patterns which at one time were on crafty and etsy. I keep thinking about reopening up my etsy account. They closed me down because I wouldn't give them my bank account number. Do any of you have a problem with that?
Very pretty. I like the colour you chose for your blanket stitching.
ReplyDeleteSnowflake is a lovely design. Actually, I think it may be my favorite winter table topper. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty topper! With a few changes or additions to the pattern, it could also be a Christmas tree skirt. No problems with my Etsy account except I never sell anything. Lol!
ReplyDeleteSince we are both "sweating it out" it seems we both chose a cool design with snow in it for the challenge. I am still quilting mine.
ReplyDeleteYour topper looks great. I love that blue background fabric. Congrats on a job well done.
As for the bank issue, you could open a smaller account at a different bank for "business" use.
Love the Snowflake!
ReplyDeleteYou made a lovely table topper! Snowflakes seems to be the thing these days, where I live winter will be coming soon.
ReplyDeletePretty! Etsy needs a bank number cuz they do auto payments to it every Monday, if you have made any sales. Less their fees, of course. If you're not comfortable with giving them access to your checking account, you can open up a separate savings account just for that transaction, and if there's ever anything I hinky, your liability will be limited and minimal.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and creative!
ReplyDeleteI love freshly fallen snow. The topper is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute! I didn't see on IB. As you can see I'm way behind on blog reading
