I HAVE SOME FINISHES....YEA ME!

We have had our grandson all week so there hasn't been much going on in the sewing room.

I have to tell ya by the time night comes and he is in bed, I am ready to go to bed too.

I had 10,000 steps by noon one day, between him and my mother.  I was shocked.  I went to bed with 20,000 steps under my belt.  Need I tell you more about sewing?

Well....as soon as he left I got busy with these Santas for the two oldest grandsons.

Today I am making two more of these pillowcases.

I sewed French Seams

and used the sausage method (or tube)

  1. 20,000 steps - wow! I think I'd be in bed right now. Great finishes. Those santas are so cute. You are going to have a wonderful Christmas.

  2. Wow! That’s a lot of steps! Cute pillowcases! Is it easy to use the tube method and make French seams?

  3. Wow, that is a lot of steps! I think that is why people have children when they are young. As we get "older" it is far to tiring.

  4. Yay you is right! My grandkids wear me out too. How did we ever raise our own all at once? I’ve hit 10,000 steps a couple times, but NEVER 20,000! Santas are adorable.

  5. My grandson wears me out too. And of course no sewing gets done when he is around. My daughter brought him over tonight so that she could go to a hockey game. He was up all evening while I napped in my chair. Luckily I had two Charlie Brown videos for him to watch.

  6. I can't imagine THAT many steps!! Did you even sit down for a minute? I love the tube pillowcase method. I'll be making new cases this fall too. Great way to use fabrics too.

You have a great start on Christmas.

  8. Yeah I had those times too taking care of the great aunt and uncle by the time I hit the bed I was out like a light. Santas are cute. Love making pillowcases my go to gift, and I do the magic pillowcase which makes them so fast and easy.
