BOWL COZY (POTHOLDER) MACHINE
I am definitely a bowl cozy (potholder) machine, I am making these puppies like no one's business.
I was told to call them cozy's instead of potholder because you can not use these for taking things out of the oven, for the microwave only.
Right now there are 24 of these, I think I will make six more. No, I am not selling them...it is a surprise.....so shhhhhhhh secret!!
If you are interested in my fast easy way to make these, go here:
This truly is a faster way than what I have seen. If you do try it, let me know. Actually it makes it kinda fun.
For the last few years I have been a bad blogger, with taking care of my mother and her many ER episodes and hospital stays, grandson, and my own health issues I just have put reading of blogs on the back burner......if you do comment, I will be sure to come by and visit you. I miss hearing about everyone but sometimes LIFE gets in the way.
There is nothing on the planet better than these bowl holders. I used mine daily and have hooked a lot of others on em too!
ReplyDeleteLove the little shortcut tip. Wish I had had that long ago! LOL!!!!
I completely understand how blogging can shift to the back burner. I am glad to see you are having some creative time.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!
Shoot I use them as pot holders all the time!
ReplyDeleteHugs
I can't imagine what you intend to do with lol those bowl cozies! I've been meaning to make one, just to try it out. I'm going to put it on my list right now. Thanks for linking back to your tutorial! XO
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize for not being able to read blogs. Taking care of yourself and family is much more important! =) Your bowl cozies are a very pretty stack! I have yet to make one for myself and I do need one! I need to get on that one of these days. =)
ReplyDeleteTotally understand about having time to read blogs. Or even sew. After reading your previous bowl cozy post I started making some for Christmas gifts.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful, Barb. I have been thinking about doing some for around here.
ReplyDeleteHey...life is more important than blogging. As I always say, I'm living life instead of documenting it.
I know the feeling of doing for everyone else because you need to. I cared for my sick husband, daughter's divorce and son's financial aid the last 6 years. You have set your priorities where they need to be. Please do not feel guilty for what you have not done. Look at how much your family appreciates you being there for them. Unfortunately my husband passed away in December 2016. My children are on their own. My problem is not knowing what to do for myself. I pray that your life becomes easier. Just take one day at a time. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI just finished 24 of these lovelys (slightly different pattern) for my MMQ's. (Monday Morning Quilters that Meet At The Senior Center and Have No Name.) Its my birthday so they all get a gift...
ReplyDeleteI love my bowl cozies! My hubby even uses them--took a while to convince him, but now he wouldn't reheat something with them!
ReplyDeleteI have been intending to make some of these bowl cosies for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is only one part of your life, we all have to remember to keep it in balance. Family rightly takes top priority. Take care.
Thanks for sharing a faster way for these. I'm planning to make a few sets up for gifts this year. And you know, sometimes Life needs our attention outside of BlogLand - we're here when you can be, and we'll enjoy what we get. :D
ReplyDeleteYou are not a bad blogger, you just had other priorities that were more important.
ReplyDeleteI may make a few of these. I've been eating a lot of soup lately. Thank you for the tute!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb...yes life does get in the way! I'm glad to see you are getting back in the groove. I have been thinking of making these, so I am going to give it a go...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Great bowls.
ReplyDeleteYou are a bowl cosy making machine! Love them what a great idea. Don't worry we are always here waiting for you. lol Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have been the same way about blogging. My dad passed in January and we were so shocked as he was so healthy. You know, my mom is the one who is sick and has so many medical issues. Anyhow, I am slowly trying to get back into the blogging arena as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the cozies and I want to make one or more of these.
