Smorgasbord of Quilty Goodness!!!!

Finished this Christmas quilt today!

                                                                   Here is a close up!

I don't know if I told you but the first Ribbon Quilt I made never made it to the gals house.  So I made another one.

Just as I finished it she wrote and told me that her neighbor teenager took the package because she or he was curious as to what was in it.  Once this person opened it up and saw, they stashed it back in the envelop and put it in their closet.  When the mom was helping this teenager look for something she came across the Ribbon quilt....  The mom made the teenager return it and apologize.

So now I have a ribbon quilt.

Then a friend in Missouri sent me 70 of these Embroidered Angels for making the Quilt sets for Heaven Sent.  I was so excited to get them.  Now I can distribute them out to those that don't have an embroidery machine.  I am so excited.  We are slowly getting this non-profit going but we are getting there.

Hope all of you have a fabulous Thanksgiving!!!

  1. What cute images on your Christmas quilt. That's a merry and bright quilt for sure. And a sweet ribbon quilt with a special story. A lesson that teen will remember for a long time. And such cute angel embroidery.

  2. I'm thrilled that your missing ribbon quilt was found. Still, my heart aches for that teenager that took such a package and tried to hide it. Seems she/he needs a bigger learning experience from all of this. But glad it was found. And how wonderful for the Angel that made 70 Embroidered Angel blocks for Heaven Sent. I think that means 70 plus Heaven Sent Angels and their families will be comforted in good quilty love.

  4. It is great that the quilt was returned. Curiosity causes many kids to stray from the values they have been taught. I am glad the mother used it as a teaching moment.
    The Christmas quilt is darling.
Yay for the Angel who made the angel embroideries for you.
