This will be under a controlled environment, you will only be able to see what I am allowing. So all of you march forward.
Here is one of my favorite spots. I love the pictures of my sons. Still working on the treadle machine.
Bookshelf by the door. Don't mind the pink slippers, they were not invited in this picture. I have whittled through alot of my books and magazine and so glad that I did.
This is between the two big windows, This bed is my mother's. The first thing I obtained was her bed so she can have a place to sleep while visiting . My son is on it right now. I had it soo cute.....(news flash, boys do not like cute....it is all he can do to sleep on that pink pillow case...ha!!) The ironing board was not invited in this picture either.
I worked on these yesterday. I do not know if I like this gals digitizing...the faces seem messed up to me.
Here is my brain, you will find in here past ideas, ideas that came to fruition, and some are just laying dormat waiting for me to come and rescue them. See, there is not much to my brain....just some scraps and scribblings.
Projects I am working on
cutting mat....husband said the quilt was straight....hummmmm was he looking at it sideways?
Here is my sewing necleus....where everything happens at Bejeweled!
The green desk and the desk the embroidery machine were found in the out building. I just cleaned them up and here they are. The desk my sewing machine is on my son let me use (he was so gracious and brought all of his furniture for us to store while he is gone for 10 months). We are such lucky parents!!! It is so nice sewing on solid surfaces instead of those portable tables.
There you have it, still a work in progress....needs more organizing but hey...at least I am in and sewing.
Oh Happy Days.....Oh Happy Daaaays....
It looks awesome! I love the little green desk, can't find the slippers, but I think you will get a lot of productive sewing time in here.
ReplyDeleteLove your room and I will agree that a sturdy table is soooo nice. I used the not so sturdy for years and what a pain but then again I was greatful to have a table to sew on. Have a sunshine day my sweet friend. Hugs, Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice bright open area to sew up a storm! you really found some nice antique items in those sheds! Sure your Mom will love sleeping on that cute bed! Too funny about your son but a cute bed is better than no bed or pallet on the floor!;-)

ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us have a peek around your sewing room. It's always interesting to see other people's creative spaces.
ReplyDeleteWow, you sure filled things up! Looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow, Barb, it has REALLY come together nicely. It's so nice to have a permanent space to work in. I bet you never even notice the lights anymore, except to be thankful that they're bright enough. :O
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new space,
Susan in Texas
Oh look at it!! all that room, yummy fabrics, great lighting! Love the little green desk. Your Mother will feel so comfortable there.
ReplyDeleteI have a daughter and SIL who will be gone for a year, yep, we are storing things for them too!
Looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great room Barb! Is the treadle machine a family piece?
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and cheerful sewing room. So much room and so much light. You are going to have room to stretch out and have fun. And what a wonderful room for your mom to stay in and even your son. Of course, your sons may want to have their own quilt on that bed. Guess I better not suggest another quilt idea as I think you have a lot of designs floating in your mind that you want to make into reality, now that you have such a wonderful sewing room.

What a great space to sew and create in Barb! All that room to put your stash in (I love your stash by the by):) Your mom will like staying in such a sweet bed I am sure. Hows the work coming on the treadle machine?
ReplyDeleteWoww, that looks fantastic Barb. I am green with envy ( to match your little green desk?)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I'm glad to see it all coming together and you've moved in.
ReplyDeleteSweet. I sure you are a happy camper now that you have the sewing room the way you want it.
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy but I like having my daughter's twin bed in my sewing room (thought I'd hate it and they don't have room for it right now). Sometimes a girl just has to lay down for a minute and recuperate from all the craziness! I like your space but I sure can't find those pink slippers...I really looked too, haha! It's so much fun to have a dedicated space that you don't have to keep packing up and pulling out, not to mention the joy of a hard surface for sewing! The room must be heaven on earth for you! Cindy
ReplyDeleteYour room looks great! I can also vouch for the fact that boys/men don't like cute. Hee Hee! I love your treadle sewing machine. I used to have a bed in my sewing room, but it was always covered with projects.
ReplyDeleteO M G ! I love the look of your room.
ReplyDeleteBoys are rubbish at cute but I guess that is why we like them.
Looks wonderful Barb, have many happy hours sewing your little heart out in that lovely room.i love the quilt you have on the bed for your Mom's visits.
ReplyDeleteLots of beautiful designs are going to come out of this forever sewing room. Blessings Sandra
