As some of you know, I received a package from Island Batik....these lovelies were in the box.
My mind just would not shut up.... I had to pull out these fabrics and do something with them last night.
So I made some nine patches. (okay....some of you are saying BORING)!!!
But you know, I just couldn't leave it with a nine patch!!!
How about a few geckos?
Husband and I are busy fixing up our rooms and so today is the day that all my boxes will finally be emptied, things will be put away and later I will organize my house better but for now....Peace will reign over my house. Six months in the makings....
I love those blocks, and the gecko is perfect! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the gecko!!! So unexpected (except its you). Are you going to highlight it more with the quilting or is it going to stay so subtle?
ReplyDeleteLove it!
Hi Barb!!!!! This is wonderful and exotic!!!!! I love it!!!! That little gecko is adorable too!!!!! Oh yes it will feel better to have the boxes emptied and out of the way...moving is not fun!!!! But getting settled in is!!!!!! Thanks for the fun!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you!!! Peace at last! I am sure you will enjoy setting up your big and wonderful sewing studio!!! Yes 'studio' as it is much bigger than a sewing 'room'...;-) Pretty beachy blocks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks and you have to be so anxious to get you quilt studio all set up! Enjoy1

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your ambassador standing. You are the perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteWow Barb beautiful sunny colors and I love the Geckos they are adorable. I am waiting for those pictures of new room
ReplyDeleteOh you lucky girl getting to play with all that fun fabric!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and I love your added gecko, so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like the 9 patches. The fabric keeps them from being boring but the addition to the little incognito gecko kicks it up a notch. They'll make a sweet little baby quilt. I'm not a big fan of unpacking but I do like finding those little treasures that I had forgotten about. I'm sure you will find a few treasures when you unpack your studio.
ReplyDeleteThose 9-patches are anything but boring! LOVE the colors!

ReplyDeleteThe gecko was a great idea....so much fun. Time flies in your life...I can't believe you've been there that long. Well, now I think of it...time files in my life too. Someone needs to chase it down and put a brick on it's butt.
