ISLAND BATIKS======NO GRASS GROWING HERE

As some of you know, I received a package from Island Batik....these lovelies were in the box.

My mind just would not shut up....  I had to pull out these fabrics and do something with them last night.
So I made some nine patches.  (okay....some of you are saying BORING)!!!

                                 But you know, I just couldn't leave it with a nine patch!!!

How about a few geckos?

Husband and I are busy fixing up our rooms and so today is the day that all my boxes will finally be emptied, things will be put away and later I will organize my house better but for now....Peace will reign over my house.  Six months in the makings....

  2. Love the gecko!!! So unexpected (except its you). Are you going to highlight it more with the quilting or is it going to stay so subtle?

  15. I like the 9 patches. The fabric keeps them from being boring but the addition to the little incognito gecko kicks it up a notch. They'll make a sweet little baby quilt. I'm not a big fan of unpacking but I do like finding those little treasures that I had forgotten about. I'm sure you will find a few treasures when you unpack your studio.

  24. The gecko was a great idea....so much fun. Time flies in your life...I can't believe you've been there that long. Well, now I think of it...time files in my life too. Someone needs to chase it down and put a brick on it's butt.
