I decided that I need a lot and I mean a lot of practice in my stitching so that I why I joined this hop. I would not stitch otherwise.
Some of us learned to read with the Dick and Jane Readers.
When I saw these two I just knew what I wanted to do with them.
Another thing it reminds me of is that Bobby Vinton song "Dick and Jane"
DICK & JANE
Bobby Vinton
Look, Dick look, look at Jane
See Jane laugh and play Look,
Dick look, see pretty Jane
I'm gonna marry her someday
I've loved her since we were children back in grammar school
Loved her then and I always will
Though I know I'm just a fool
Then one day I kissed her
But it was all in vain
Cause I was at their reception to have fun with Dick and Jane
Look, Dick look,
look at Jane
See Jane laugh and play
Look, Dick look,
see pretty Jane
I'm gonna marry her someday
Time has turned some pages
Since they moved away
I think back in stage
of the way she'd laugh and play
Today I received a letter
that she has passed away
So one last time
I kissed her by the flower
s where she'll lay
Look, Dick look,
look at Jane See Jane laugh and play
Look, Dick look,
see pretty Jane
I'm gonna marry her someday
I took several pictures of this quilt but couldn't get it to show up well....
Here is the list of all those that are part of the hop today...Hope to see you there!

Since my name is Jane I just KNEW the books were talking about me! I even dressed like Jane in the books and many many people said I looked just like "Jane" when I was little.

I LOVE this. What a pretty quilt.
What a cute quilt! Thanks for sharing!
OMG! I have an old Bobby Vinton Album, but don't recall that song. You peeked my curiosity-I have The Greatest Hits Album and that song didn't make it. Funny, we are planning a remodel and I was just thinking about finding a place to sell all those old albums that I don't play any more, but my husband told me to "wait." I have a stack about 18" high and he has a larger collection which he never did play after we moved into this house and he wouldn't let me play on his "new" stereo which is now old. Funny how all of that is passe now, but I hear that vinyl is making a comeback because they last longer than CD's. Your embroidery, and Madam Samm's designs remind me of the Campbell's soup kids! LOL!
Cute stitchery, and yummy fabrics to go with it.
I love the Dick and Jane books. I can remember vividly the very minute that I could read those words. I was so excited and went running up to my teacher and read to her.
That is sew cute! I might be showing my age but I learned to read with Dick and Jane and Spot.
