No pictures today, sorry.
So...this post is a just so you know
Most of you know that I was having internet problems during the Dot to Dot.
Well...
I worked on the computer,
My son,
then my husband.
then back to me again.
The thing I kept telling my son was that I did not go to that one site (Fun Moods).
Anytime I wanted to go anywhere that (Fun Moods) was up on my tool bar.
He said I had to have.
NOPE!!!
So....after my husband got the computer and it came back to me.
I looked up (Fun Moods).
There are four sites that were listed but each had a warning sign.
Then down below it it had a post where a gal said she was hijacked by "Fun Moods", it is a site out of Israel.
I ran upstairs, showed my husband....
He was able to get it off....thank heavens. I had to do my password three times for about a week due to it being compromised. So I changed most of my passwords...seems someone was able to know when I did this. Now I just have my automatic sign in so no one, if they are still able can tell. My son said and it is beyond me how someone can do this but can tell what I am typing. Hummmm
Glad we found that.
I also found some sites that will check your blog for virus. I had a sweet friend go in my blog and check and she said there were none...but
I kept getting up in the top middle of my blog this
"You have signed out on another computer" Do you wish to sign in." It wouldn't let me moderate comments, and definitely would not let me post or check my post.
No matter what I did, this still came up.
Drove me crazy (yes....didnt' have far to go).
But................it fixed itself. Whohoooooooo...I am free and Clear!!!
isn't it a shame that such creative minds can find such evil ways to use them? Glad it is all back and working now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pain! Why do people do these things? I'm just glad you got it all taken care of! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got it figured out...those trojans and virus' can be tricky sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI had that "fun Moods" on my computer too. Took a few times to get it off, it kept coming back. I think it happened when I visited someone else's blog, but not sure which one to let them know. We have since stepped up the anti viruses, and hopefully it won't happen again.
ReplyDeleteWOW. I am so happy that things got worked out.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's terrible. So glad you were able to get that fixed.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's terrible. So glad you were able to get that fixed.
ReplyDeleteNothing is more annoying than when your computer won't co-operate. Glad all is fixed.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have it fixed and free and clear. :)

How absolutely irritating that must have been! I am always so scared that is going to happen to me!
ReplyDeleteSo glad things are (getting)better now.
ReplyDeleteDecontamination can be soooo freeing! I'm glad it is gone. I hope the folks who write those viruses have terrible cases of hemorrhoids....oh...did I just say that?

Isn't it awful that there are people who want to do things like that? My email account was hijacked a while back, and I had to go through hoops fixing passwords, etc. All so that they could use my email to send out THEIR emails. Boo. I guess we all need to change our passwords pretty regularly, and make 'em hard to figure out!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI detest hackers! They need to get a life and not someone else's.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's crazy and scary! I'm glad you got it figured out and *wiped* out!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have things fixed , it is rather scary that these things can happen isn't it .
ReplyDeleteI was hijacked too, recently changed my passwords and this seemed to do the trick.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Technology is the best...except when it is broken.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, wow can't computers just give you a bad headache. I am not too savey but I can do the usual things but don't give me something different. I had my e-mail hacked once and what a mess. Glad you got things straightened out. This is one reason i won't blog. Blessings Sandra
ReplyDeleteThanks I checked and appear to be clean!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is crazy! Do you use Firefox? I have had good luck with it telling me if I go to a page that is a security threat, and I get outta there!
ReplyDeleteCyber space is a weird mystery to me!
What a bummer,I had the same thing happen with my email and finally had to create a new one as it wouldn't let me sign in to it :(
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to work yours out :)Barb.
WOW that sounds crazy!!! Hope you ran all your virus & spyware programs!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pain Barb, I'm glad you got it fixed, I've been hi-jacked and it's no fun. I'm sure you know about it now, but make sure you have something like Malwarebytes on a jump drive so you can fix things like this and make sure you run it at least once a month. I love to see "no malware found".
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, what a nightmare! Imagine, and you are just a small cog in the wheel,,,why would someone do this?
