JUST A LITTLE UPDATE (GIVEAWAY)

Here is where I am at on the puzzle.

My husband came in the room the other day and sat down to work on it. Now....he doesn't do puzzles and he doesn't know puzzle etiquette. I saw him eye balling my section. So....I took my hand, waved it over the little section I was working on and said....you can work on any part of this puzzle but right here. You never invade someone's space when doing a puzzle.

 Am I right?

So....the next thing I knew he found the very piece I was looking for.....He was so pleased he almost jumped for joy..... Hummmmmmm  my comment to that is...  he doesn't play well with others and doesn't follow rules.

Now...I want you all to look at this fabric and the price....can you guess where I purchased this?

You won't believe it but at BIG LOTS....  They have a little craft section and well...I just decided take a look see and boy did my eyes bug out of my head.....

so....I want to share the find, I will give one winner the choice of either fat quarters.  Not giving the roll away..sorry.

So just leave a comment and let me know which one you would like.

Never would have thought to look for fabric at Big Lots.

Both sets of FQs are lovely, so if my name is selected, I'll let you chose. Thanks for the opportunity to share in your good fortune.

  7. Sweet. The top fabric on the left was used by the person that made the pouch at our pouch swap that I ended up with. I love that fabric. Such a steal. I am going to have to try my local Big Lots.

Wow, I didn't know Big Lots had fabric or crafts. I'm going to check them out. Thanks for the info. Great finds, lovely fabric!

  30. They both hold a lot of potential, but I'm siding with the lefty.
I had no idea Big Lots did that. Next time I need something I'm heading to the nearest one. I hope they give you a bonus for all the people in their stores because of you.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I would side with the left one.

I hope Big Lots gives you a bonus for all the business they'll get from your discovery.

  32. Your puzzle is incredible Barb, I love how your love of quilting has spilled over into puzzles, I would go for one like that too! Yes, I think hubby needs to learn puzzle etiquette, I get very territorial when working on one. Though now he found 'the right' piece, you may never hear the end of it, heehee! Gorgeous fabrics. xo

  39. Definitely not a good puzzle player!!!!! My husband wouldn't even come near a puzzle.

Big Lots???? Wow....I'll have to check ours out. I'd love either.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would enjoy the one on the left. Pretty fabric.

Your hubby plays puzzle better than some of my relatives, who have been known to "disappear" a sought after piece only to 'discover" the piece when I am about ready to give up.

    ReplyDelete
  41. You make me want to get out a puzzle! DH needs to brush up on etiquette FOR SURE!
Great deal on the fabric...holey moley!

  49. Oh Barb, I wish we had those store in Australia, I would love them all, but seeing I have to choose and I cant have the roll, I love the centre one.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, at least we now know your Hubby isn't perfect lol. He has very bad puzzle etiquette. My guys know the rules but I swear they go out of their way to find the one piece I am looking for. What's worse? My Hubby likes to take a piece and hide it so he can be the one to put the last piece in!!! To make it even worse he waits until I look all over for the missing piece thinking it was knocked off the table and kicked under the couch.

I keep hearing about people going to Big Lots and finding amazing deals on fabric and yarn. Not at our store. Our store is dingy and dirty and things are just tossed on the shelves. I'm sure it partially because it isn't in the nicest section of town.

    ReplyDelete
  51. That is a good price. Hope I am allowed to take part in the giveaway.

My hubby does jigsaw puzzles and I stay well away from them since the big sulk of 2003 (sorry, did the same thing as Mr Barb.) :-)

  52. LOL on puzzle etiquette, never heard that before!! I'll have to check out my Big Lot's?? No matter on which one!

  53. That happened to me the other day. I was at Michael's (don't go there much) and they do not carry fabrics. I wanted to see if they had batting. Off in a little corner they had bundles of batiks (5 in a pack for $6.99). So I downloaded the Michael's app, found a 20% coupon on the app and was a happy camper. Thanks for sharing! 54. Living in the country, we don't have a Big Lots nearby. I like the fq bundle first on the left. It was "time" for me to read your blog today and just happened upon your nice giveaway. Wonder what you have in mind for that large roll? Thanks Barb.

  55. Wow! I need to check my Big Lots! I haven't been there lately-- who would've ever thought that they'd have fabric!?! :-) Choosing between those two lovely bundles is just too hard--- so if I am so lucky as to win, would you please choose for me? :-) Thank you so much for sharing your lucky find with us! :-)

  58. Don't you just hate it when hubby gets in your space..

I haven't bought any of the fabric at Big Lots yet, saw some there, but they sell the same thing at our Tuesday Morning Store and there it is almost half the price... I bought 10 quilt kits and they were nice, really surprised me.

  59. I have never bee to Big Lots. They did have one in our area for about a year but then closed it. I like the one on the left.
