Today while I was making these.....
I made this quilt top. The only regret I have is that I prewashed this fabric and now it has all these little beads all over them. Doesn't look new and fresh.
So...I did more than two pots of gold but today I am offering to one of you these two pots of gold embroidery squares. Just leave a message.
I know what I am going to do with mine....do you have any ideas of what you would do with yours?
I usually do not do giveaways but I love the pots of gold. Son and DIL are opening an Irish Pub. Wouldn't those look great with the name of the pub embroidered between them and an Irish chain pieced around it all and hung above the bar?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and Good to luck to all.
I use extra blocks as labels or pot holders, add a row or two of fabric to size. I would add them to my on going collection of march fabrics which should be about ready to cut into soon. cw
ReplyDeleteI like the top. It looks new and fresh in the photo. But I know how you feel. I just washed a quilt with a color catcher because I wanted to make sure the reds wouldn't bleed before I give it away. Now it looks slightly used instead of all warm and crinkly. Hubby said it is fine and I should give it away anyway.
ReplyDeleteYour little pots of gold are so sweet Barb! I'd use it as the center for a small wall hanging block.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Spray Sizing for your quilt top..it usually gives fabric a fresh, new look.

your little pots of gold are so cute ... if i'd win them, i'd make a pair of mugrugs for my march table.
ReplyDeleteLove the pots of gold. I'd spread it around!!
ReplyDeleteadorable. lil pots of gold.. i would use them for a small runner on top of the toilet tank. Love the idea of dressing up even the bathroom

Cute little pot o' gold! Being Irish, I'd put it on an apron front, or make a table topper around it. :-) have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think they'd make the basis of a really cute table runner for March, don't you? They're really cute. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the pot of gold would make a great center for a St. Patrick's Day pillow.
ReplyDeleteLove those little pots of gold. I have on my enormous list of quilts to make, a St. Patrick's day quilt. This would definitely go in that quilt. I'd love to win. And thank you for the chance!

The little pot of gold would be for a mug rug....got the perfect fabric to make one....Thanks for the chance Barb...(o:
ReplyDeleteI have never made anything for St Paddy's Day, but these would be a great start to a mini quilt or table runner!
ReplyDeleteYour pots-o-gold are sweet. I'm sure whomever won them will love them.
ReplyDeleteI have worked with flannel a couple times but I never pre-wash it. I know you're supposed to but I don't like those little balls. I want a quilt that I give to someone to look new and crisp. I don't pre-wash my cottons either. Call me a rebel lol.
I say give it to the lady who got married on St Patricks day, how could you resist that one.
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to win these "Pots of Gold". This will make a wonderful gift of a table runner for my each of two cousins in Ireland. We have our Kavanaugh family reunion in Ireland, I would so love make this to hand carry back to each of them.
