This month's challenge is leaves.
So I got a fat quarter, folded it in half and went to town.
So....the one thing I hate to do is waste these sandwiches for the challenge, so I made a tank topper. A Fat quarter was not really long enough, but it works. I was too lazy to put a binding on so I got my pinking shears and just pinked the edges and sewed a straight line around the outside of the topper about 1/2 inch in. There you have it.
Yes, I should have ironed it but I told you, I am being lazy.

ReplyDeleteHi, Barb, so glad to have found you! I like your attitude with winding your own embroidery bobbins - I do that, too! Besides, one of the first prewound bobbins I bought wound up being knotted near the center and almost messed up my embroidery machine. Moral: WIND YOUR OWN - it's cheaper AND safer!

ReplyDeleteGood idea for a tank topper...I was just noticing the dust on mine this morning! :) I wanted to do this quilt along, but so far have been too lazy to get going...I certainly do need more practice with my fmq.
ReplyDeleteYour stitches look really nice, as does the tank topper. When I am caught up (don't laugh) I think I will make some for my house, too.

ReplyDeleteI love love love free motion. My favorite motif so far has been the big alligator I did on Ethan's quilt. All that thread-painting was a blast. I need to move past stippling more often. Maybe I'll take the FMQ challenge. 8)
