It seems that you need to keep feeding your embroidery machine bobbins. So I decided to make up a bunch of these. You can buy bobbins already wound but I am cheap!! Plan to fill this bowl up....no one will go hungry in this house.
I have been keeping my embroidery machine humming. I have already honed in on the different sounds this baby makes, when it is out of bobbin or thread breaks...I will probably listen to this puppy in my sleep.
When I venture away from this machine I found that I am listening for it to stop. Maybe I need a baby monitor?
Good idea about the baby monitor! :0)
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely designs - did they come with your machine or from somewhere else? they look great made up as a quilt.
ReplyDeleteHow funny. You have some great patterns too.
ReplyDeleteI am intimidated by machines. A throwback to my childhood. I love to see what you are making with yours, though.
Hey Barb I love my emb. machine, what kind did you get? I have a viking se and love it!Those bobbins go too fast. Have fun filling your bowl and have a beautiful day my friend!Hugs
ReplyDeletethat's great! you do great work with this machine. I sometimes, long arm while having the embroidery machine going at the same time, I just need some good designs, how thick of a stabilizer do you use in the back? how big can your machine go?
ReplyDeleteCute quilt...the designs are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYes, embroidery machines do use a lot of bobbins. Love the sewing quilt. I'm so glad you are enjoying your embroidery machine.
ReplyDeleteNice idea to prewind the bobbins Barb. I only have 6 for my machine and they are too expensive to stock up on those.
ReplyDeleteI love love the designs you used on that quilt.
Great idea...and that quilt is gorgeous! Great work.
ReplyDeleteBaby monitor...... good idea!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt... great fabric to go with thread colors.
I need to fill bobbins too. I looked at prewound bobbins, but they are usually just black or white - AND a bit pricey. I put my last full bobbin in the machine two days ago. (haven't sewn much obviously)
ReplyDeleteI love your embroidered quilt! & the baby monitor is a great idea :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great quilt. You have been very busy with your toy. Those embroidery machines sure do love thread.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute design package. Those are not cheap. Keeps me from getting too carried away.
ReplyDeleteDon't laugh...I use the baby monitor for my machine. Are you using bobbin thread? It goes a lot further that the regular sewing threads do. I do use the prewound from Smartneedle and they are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThat is really a good and economical idea for you to fill up your own bobbins. And I love that little sewing themed quilt you made....sew cute! You are just having a great time with your new toy, and I think that's awesome! Have fun, girl!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Cyndi
I have been winding more bobbins lately; but, I am a pre-wound bobbin believer. I have been know to select a backing based on what color pre-wounds I have on hand.
ReplyDeleteI wonder when they are going to wise up and make a machine that will take a whole spool of thread in the bobbin, just like the top thread. ?? We can put a man on the moon, but we can't figure out easy and seamless thread supply for a sewing machine... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI do the same with my bobbins...saves so much time. Love the little quilt. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou are creating some great projects with that baby!
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt! It is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeleteA baby monitor sounds like a great idea. Looks like you are having fun.
ReplyDeleteDon't we drive ourselves mad? I love your quilt....it is really pretty and a baby monitor is a good idea :) Hugs Vicki x
ReplyDeleteI try to keep some bobbins at the ready...for my regular machine. :) I can imagine it will really help on the embroidery, too! Love the quilt - great job!
ReplyDeletea baby monitor for my babylock... Snort! Adorable quilt too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt,I'm like you have have up to 15 bobbins threaded ready to go when I run out :) Barb.
ReplyDeleteI tend to use the same color thread for all my piecing ... filling a bowl full of ready-to-go bobbins is an awesome idea!!! Bobbins for everyone! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the designs you used for your embroidery quilt! It looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteROFL at the baby monitor.....probably a good idea if you get as distracted as me. I rarely hear the buzzer on the dryer :0)
ReplyDeleteCrispy
Oh! What a cute embroidery sampler! So glad you're having so much fun with your new machine!
