NOW THAT THIS IS DONE.....

I can get back to sewing......

Have a wonderful week-end....yep....it is here already!!!

Gotta tell you something funny before I go....

I have been sleeping on an air mattress for weeks....No...that is not funny.... My husband has a breathing machine and when it is not working, man nor beast can sleep in the same room with him. So it was the air mattress for me.

Now you know why there hasn't been much sewing....momma has been so tired.

Finally, yesterday he got the piece he needed for his machine. So....youngest son goes out and it is around ten...I am used to going to bed like 12:00 or 1:00....but I was so tired.....I go upstairs....it took me a while to get to sleep but when I did, I was gone.

Well....between 11:30 and 12:30...the phone rings. Wakes me up but I don't get to it in time....It says from TX, thinking it is my oldest son.....he will call again tomorrow. Well...it rings again a few minutes later..I get up...take a look out the window and see my son's car..

I am thinking, the boy is home, why doesn't he answer the phone? I get to the phone and the phone hangs up....

Boy is this irritating.

So...I get good and comfy...the phone rings again, I get up and by the time I get to the phone it hangs up again. Now I am getting kinda grumpy. Grumpy with my oldest son for continuing to call...grumpy with my youngest son for not answering the phone.

I grab the phone and put it beside my bed. Get good and comfy....the phone rings again.

This is the funny part. It was my youngest son, he was locked out and needed me to come and let him in. It is funny now but I sure felt bad last night.

I apologized, went back upstairs and by George if I could not get back to sleep...so I got up and finished the puzzle above.

  2. Oh my goodness! Gave me a chuckle, but I'm sure it wasn't a funny thing at the time! I love to do jigsaw puzzles, too. Our family has a tradition of doing one on every beach trip.

  6. Oh that is funny...
Why is it that those sort of things happen when we really really need to sleep...
Or is it just that we almost always really really need to sleep!...
I see you are a night owl ,like me
    And find falling asleep difficult...
I always say I wish we could have been born with a switch off switch...so much easier...switch on...switch off...
    Have a wonderful weekend Barb

  8. Sorry about the insomnia. I using a CPAP machine too so I can understand your frustration with your husband and his snoring.

  9. Too funny. The snoring..not so funny. We've been there. Tom has had a CPAP machine for about 7 years. Not only can I know sleep in the same bed, but I no longer worry about him dying in the night.
Sleep apnea is a serious problem.

  19. I love puzzles! At the cottage we do these for summer fun. Our local dump has a small cabin that we call the library as so many people trade books there, but there is also a huge puzzle section, hence no new puzzles for ages.
The phone ringing reminded me of a friend getting "obscene" phone call from one guy who just would breath into the phone. One day, she says to him...wait, wait, till I get my coffee and cigs as this is the best part of my day....he never called again.

  21. This is funny bz I called my son early this morning thinking he'd be at work and he rejected my call! Granted it was 6:30 a.m. but usually on a Saturday he's at work and I had internet issues and couldn't work! I'd already been on the phone with Comcast for 45 minutes and needed his help! I couldn't believe he rejected my call. He answered the next time though and helped me fix the router. Sure glad it wasn't something more drastic that I needed him for! Glad your son finally got in!

  22. Well why in the world did he hang up, is what I want to know?

  23. I know what you mean about the CPAP - I have a friend with one, you can't even sleep in the next room if it isn't working!

  24. I usually move to a quiet room in the middle of night - so i get it!
I love to puzzle - yours is great!

  25. Had to chuckle at this one - so sounds like something that has happened to me. Sort of funny but so frustrating to be woken from a sound sleep. Good you let the boy in so he didn't have to sleep on the porch, lol. Happy Thanksgiving, Barb. :-D
