This quilt top is what I finished yesterday. I had planned to finish it totally but got the case of the lazes, you can even see I was too lazy to finish ironing the border.
Am I bad!!
What wonderful eye candy!!
My husband looked at me strange when he saw me smelling the fabric….is that weird?
I have a real sweet friend that sent me a gift certificate to the Fat Quarter shop….I was so excited.
My mother and sister Beverly gave me this awesome fabric, leather strips, and decorative balls. My mind
is going wild with things to do with these strips…do you have any ideas?
My one thought for the day is……I DON’T REMEMBER GROWING OLDER!!!
I don't remember either. What happened. Love your new fabric. It is not weird to smell fabric or fondle it.
ReplyDeleteBarb, you did a wonderful job with the Sunbonnet Sue blocks! I like how you added the block border before you did all the sashing. Gives it a bit more interest than just sashing the blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love the Sunbonnet Sue, too. Is that red? It looks great. I don't remember growing older either, just glad I got here in one piece.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sue Bonnet quilt Barb
ReplyDeleteOlder? Us? No way!! The kids are just getting older!!

Aww, look at Sue! I just finished a huge Sue project; deconstruction, that is. I took one apart to make pillows for a friend. So it's nice to see Sue where she belongs; all bright and festive in a quilt!

I love your red sunbonnet Sue . I fell in love with Sue after you kindly sent me some SS. pieces . I too have another one ready for cutting
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a fondler than a smeller. HA! :) But I don't think it's weird though. :P
ReplyDeleteI love the red sashing with those red Sues. I will just be forced to make a red SBS. The goodies just keep coming your way. Oh what are you going to do with the leather strips?
ReplyDeleteWonderful Sue top.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember it either. I just woke up one day and I was old. Love that fabric and the balls. You're right, there's a million things you could do with them. I have a glass jar that the balls would work perfect in!
ReplyDeletesounds like a birthday? If so, hope it was a great one!!!! Love Sunbonnet Sue - makes me want to make one.
ReplyDeleteI love how it turned out! Those little blocks in the border around each Sue make such a statement! They are a great touch.
ReplyDeleteI really love the red Sunbonnet Sue's, it just amazes me how fast you work. I wonder if you can come to Canada and get me organized.(LOL) I seem to flit from thing to thing but just don't get finished. I got my GO Machine on Friday and also I got a side winder for bobbins and a bias maker. Someone is trying to organize me (my daughter and husband). I am so lucky I hope the Go Accuquilter helps me get things cut out sooner. Have a good day Blessings Sandra
