For July's block.....I am all caught up.
Some of you may have figured out that I am traveling. I really needed a thimble and was able to get one from my mother on our way through to Texas. What a difference it makes.
Now....I used varigated thread for alot of this square, it looks silver and I thought that would be just perfect.
Now...I am so ready for the awesome Beam N Read blog hop that starts on Monday. If you look on my sidebar you will see what order the hop will go in. This Beam N Read light is sooooo awesome and what is even better is that each blog in the hop will give away one light....so please put this on your calander for Monday and join in the fun!!
Wow, Barb, you rock! Great job on getting all caught up on those birdie blocks! I think they all look great!

Isn't it nice to have easy destinations now? All the long travel times of the past are behind you. Enjoy the vacation!
ReplyDeleteThe block is so cute and I love the varigated thread you used for the snow. Great job!

This hop sounds interesting. I can't figure out what is going on, so I'm anxious to read your post Monday and join in the fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! Could you direct me to the quilt along you're in, so I can see the patterns for the embroidery?
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely following you.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels! I love this block, snowmen don't ya know! I adore variegated threads of any kind. Use them a lot in my quilting!
ReplyDeleteYour block looks beautiful - love the varigated thread! Glad you were able to get a thimble from you mom :)
ReplyDeleteYou need to encourage me to embroider. My grandmother did. I still have a quilt she did. What lovely blocks you are doing.
ReplyDeleteThe blog hop looks like fun - I will definitely participate!
ReplyDeleteI love this block Barb! It looks wonderful, especially the earmuffs on the little bird!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we will all take up travel if it means getting this much work done. Your blocks are lovely and I hope your trip goes safely.
ReplyDeleteAnother cutie! Safe travels my friend.
ReplyDeleteAll of these embroideries are just adorable! You are quite the artist!
ReplyDeleteI just love your birdie blocks. I have some embroidery stuck in a tote bag around here somewhere. I guess I should get it out and start working on it again. Travel safe.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....we wondered where you were...we missed you!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having fun wherever you have gone!
Ahhh! So now I know the secret to getting my stitcheries done. I have to travel. Your blocks look really cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful block!
ReplyDeleteThat's how you are getting them done so quickly!!! Looks great, Barb.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block. They are all lovely, but this one may be my favorite. Love the birdie in earmuffs chirping with Mr. Snowman. So cute. And your stitching is excellent. Going to be a beautiful quilt.

Really like all your handwork your doing.
ReplyDeleteYou're all up to date!! And I'm so jealous of everyone. ;D The layer cake I got for this project looks at me and calls out and I keep having to say, "Not just yet!" My mark for being able to start this project is having both Around the Worlds off my UFO list completely finished. Getting closer - they're up next!
ReplyDeleteI'd be honored if you had a second to link this post up at today's BOMs AWAY "party" - http://whatahootquilts.blogspot.com/2011/06/boms-away-7.html
