This is an on going project. The girls in my class at church are stitching around the initials and then I complete the tote for the new girls coming in. Then they do one for themselves. I planned for the tote to look slanted ( really).
As I looked at April finishes I noticed that I did not finish much....I started alot but no finishes..... Yesterday I went through my UFO's and got out the items that were almost finished....they are in a pile....(we will see how good I do) and am trying so hard not to start anything new.
So.... I had to finish this.....so this was first on my list. I just love the elmers glue binding. I couldn't get a good picture because my design floor was taken up.
Oh yes, I need to do just that! And to dedicate many more months to clear my UFOs! I just cannot help it...not entirely my fault, blogland is a wonderful place with wonderful people and wonderful projects! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your tote!
As usual Barb, you make the nicest things. Congrats on the finish.
ReplyDeleteI know...sugar and starting new quilts...both kind of addicting and so tempting!!
ReplyDeleteI like the log cabin - looks good that way
ReplyDeleteThe bags are so cute. You and the girls did a great job. The 10 minute block quilt turned out so nice. I really need to try the Elmer glue binding. Love the log cabin, so bright and cheery.
ReplyDeletefinishing? what's that? Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the pattern too.
ReplyDeleteYOur so good to finish up stuff. I can't wait to be able to just get started again. The room is coming along very well now. Can you tell me w hat kind of h ardwear you use inthe key fob. thanks and have a great day. HUgs, Marie
ReplyDeleteI like the last quilt on the bottom, great spring colors!
ReplyDeleteLove all your finishes. The bag is cute. Really like how your 10 minute block quilt turned out.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I hope you meet your goal and finish up a few projects. I like what you've done so far. I've been starting new projects but at least I'm not buying the fabric, lol! I'm having fun. I just need to get some time so I can blog about it....maybe soon!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could only try for one virtue at a time. Reward your noble finish-without-starting with a healthy dose of sugar??!!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern, it's subtle yet striking at the same time. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe tote bags are a good idea. This one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteDid I remember to say thank you for the link to the 10-minute blocks? Very interesting...
I like the layout in the bottom quilt too. I love the sense of movement... have fun and good luck with finishing!
Barb, honey, you finished 41 key fobs. Please don't tell us you didn't have many finishes. Those count! lol That log cabin quilt is gorgeous. I really love that layout. (You appear to be missing a block; I hope you have enough fabric to make one more? Also, you might want to reread your post title.)
ReplyDeleteHappy finishing,
Susan in Texas
I know that you will "get 'er done", Barb... I have faith in you! :o) And I'll help by sending you an e-mail every day that says, "No New Projects Today"! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe tote is adorable, and I like that second quilt...did you use "Swakny" fabric on that? Love it!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Your quilt is beautiful! I really like the palm trees in the border.
ReplyDeleteYour log cabin blocks are so bright and cheery! They are going to make a wonderful quilt.
Just beautiful. Good luck on the no new projects. I promised myself no more fabric until I get some of my projects done and what did I do, yes bought some beautiful toile fabric. HA! HA!
ReplyDeleteLove both quilts, but the log cabin is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove, love the finished quilt. It's hard not to start new things when there are so many great ideas showing up in blogland.
ReplyDeleteI also love both quilts. Your log cabin is just so pretty!! I adore the colors.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, Barb! No New Projects! ;D It's just one month! :D
ReplyDeleteHaHa!! No new projects?!!!! Well, it's only May 6 right?! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteThe bag is cute (which is about all I can ever say about bags) and the log cabin is happy and fun. I love the other quilt, though. Just "Spring Clean" in my mind. Makes me think of hanging laundry, spring flowers, fresh grass smell... don't know why but it does. :)
ReplyDeletetoday is a finishing day for me too-at least getting 3 quilt tops finished is my goal!
ReplyDeleteI am also trying to finish things before I start anything new, but so far it isn't working. What do you call all those key fobs? Don't they count as finishes?
ReplyDeleteGood luck my friend!
Good luck with May finishes, I should do the same I have a ton of things to finish. Like the lay out of the log cabin quilt. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteEspecially love the fabrics in the last one!
ReplyDelete"Serial starter turned Fabulous Finisher".
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to give you that award at the end of May!

ReplyDeleteHello Barb, you made me grin.....I had a New Years Resolution to work on Dear Jane and the Farmers Wife ......so why I am working on a new hexagon quilt....I must have the sugar addiction as well...Hugs Lyn
