Today I was making a mad dash to finish up a few things and clean house at the same time.
So, I finished quilting this top, needs binding....that is for another day.
Handed out chores to the two sons that are here and just got down and dirty..... I even made homemade rolls today.....(not making it easy on myself to lose weight.....but that is for another day as well).
Don't forget Thimbleberries day Wednesday......let me know if you plan to join us.
The quilt is beautiful! I really want to give this a try, as soon as I get caught up.
ReplyDeleteWow you have been busy!!
ReplyDeleteThe boys can't complain about the chores since they got homemade rolls, right?
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at you giving chores to the boys. Mamma has fed them, now they have to pay for it LOL.
ReplyDeleteCrispy
What a pretty top!
ReplyDeleteAren't kids wonderful (sometimes) to help out around the house...I bet they enjoyed those rolls!!
How great that your sons help you out when they are home! You have good boys (and I bet the homemade rolls don't hurt!).
ReplyDeleteWow it's quilted already! You are fast. My most recent quilt top is sitting sadly waiting to be sandwiched. I can't find a good place in this house to lay it out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting on your wonderful quilt! I can almost smell your homemade rolls - yummmmmm.
ReplyDeleteManic Mondays...what a way to start the week! I spent part of my day on the phone and running errands then spent the afternoon reading or on the computer. No cooking in this house because Momma decided on a fend for. I let the family suffer and eat left overs lol.
ReplyDeleteDid I miss a post about Thimbleberries? What is this, or send me a link so I can read about it please! You did great on the quilt too. You're just a dynamo full of energy!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteYum .... homemade rolls!
We've just survived a couple of tornados in the area, hail, very strong winds and a load of rain. Whew!
Don't remember if it was you or Marcie who posted about Kris and Kim on the DYI Dish or not. If it was you then check out my blog today!
ReplyDeletethats a very pretty top. Love the combination of colours. I have to do a challenge for my guild and must include a dotted yellow. Perhaps I'll go with the blue and lime as well.
ReplyDeleteYou're beginning to sound like Scarlett when she says, "I'll think about that tomorrow."
ReplyDeleteThe quilting look great, Barb.
Oh my gosh you get a lot done in a day. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSomeone at our guild meeting showed a 10-minute block quilt last night. I was so excited because I had been making some of those blocks in the afternoon. I ended up giving out a lot of computer links to people who were interested and also demonstrated the technique to my mini quilt group this morning. Count me in for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteCute quilt, Barb...love the colors.
ReplyDeleteThe homemade rolls sound so yummy! Your quilt is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove this one! Are they circles?
ReplyDeleteVery nice quilt top. Love those colors together.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate it when the house calls for attention and you have to leave your sewing? I sure do! Glad you have some help!
