Look what I started? HA!!! That is me laughing....yes, I am nutzzzzz for starting another project.
An orange slice quilt...whohooooo but this time it is going to be bigger. I ran into a snag....I ran out of the white I needed. So I went and got a tone on tone white for the 6 1/2 inch sqaures....do you think that will work. I have not cut into them for fear of it not looking good and then ruining the fabric.
Did one square for my Be Attitudes quilt!
Finished quilting this quilt, just needs a binding now....it looks bubbly because I just threw it on the floor and how it landed is how I took the picture.
It is amazing how a bad hair cut can affect someone's self esteem....all I do is go by the mirror and be mean to myself....so I am trying to keep busy and my mind off this "do"..sheweeeee...
So I am trying to be joyful!
Oh...by the way, Gene is going to be picking the 10 winners for the button giveaway, I wanted my family to have a chance to enter if they wanted to. He is not even going to look at the comments until he has chosen the numbers....how is that. So he said he will post tomorrow night. Sounds good to me....Thanks Gene.
Did you lay the tone on tone fabric with your blocks? I love the Be Joyful block. Isn't this a fun quilt? I love the apple core quilt even more. I see you are keeping busy.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those happy orange blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove the apple core quilt, and I think a tone on tone would mix just fine with your gorgeous blocks!
ReplyDeleteI bet a tone on tone will look spiffy. Is it easy enough to audition it by laying the blocks out on it?
ReplyDeleteAnd, boy can I relate to being mean to yourself when you pass a mirror. ;D Be nice!! hehe
Loving those orange and white blocks! Your apple core quilt is wonderful and scrappy! I'm always having to remind myself that "it will grow out, it will grow out!"

ReplyDeleteNow I want to make an orange slice quilt! I love orange! Just lay your tone on tone fabric out and then lay your ornage slice blocks on top of it to see how it looks without cutting into it! :0)
ReplyDeleteI would spread out your tone on tone and then lay the over blocks on top. The more fabrics the merrier.

ReplyDeleteThose orange slice blocks are impressive, I have a thing for orange fabrics. If it's a wow tone on tone, it should look just fine. The Be attitudes block is adorable and so is the apple core quilt. You've accomplished quite a bit. Way to go girl!
ReplyDeleteThe orange slice quilt is looking good already. I wouldn't worry about using the tone on tone white. I would plan the layout based on those whites though.
ReplyDeleteLoving the Slice of orange blocks! I think the tone on tone will go good with that! I'm also liking your block for, Attitudes quilt! what a great idea!love to see the finish!I've seem to be having problem with being joyful lately also..wondering what wrong with me?. I' think with me it the change of life..lol Lets, just be thank-ful & joyful that we have fabric & we love to sew quilts!:)

ReplyDeleteI love your orange-and-white blocks! That is going to be one bright and happy quilt. I love your Be Joyful block. Santa is so cute! And I love your curvy quilt. It turned out so nice. You, my friend, had a productive few days :)
ReplyDeleteI really really love your Orange Slice project!! If you can, I would recommend you find more of your white fabric. I have found that some W-O-W fabrics turn yellow with time and not always in a nice way and it's hard to determine which one will not do it. IMHO :0)
