Friday afternoon.....house was all cleaned.....finished the bindings on the quilts........was waiting for Husband to come home.

Waiting...... He said he would be home in 30 minutes....

Couldn't take it....pulled out the iron, cutting board, rotary cutter.....ironing board, starch...material..... and started making rick rack with my Quick Points ruler so much for my clean home...
...
....
...
It also makes pairie points ....and if you click on the above Quick Points ruler, you can watch a video of how it works. I got mine at I Have a Notion. No....I do not own stock in her store.....I just love to shop there.
What am I making them for? That is to be decided at a later date...but for now...my Mr. Pfaff has stopped sewing these 2 1/1 squares and half square triangles..... I was hoping to get my dies in because I am wanting to do something with this quilt.....but that will be a mystery for a while if they don't come in soon.
Measures 64"x62"

By the way, my husband was in my sewing room today....commenting on how it has thinned out. I told him my mess is usually bad when I have alot of projects but I have been completing alot lately so therefore a cleaner room.
.....
...
Then he says get this.....I think before we leave you should go out and buy you a couple hundred dollars worth of Samoan fabrics.......(what did he just say).....could you repeat that for me......as I am grabbing my money and heading out the door...(only kidding but wait until Monday rolls around....you will hear the squeal of my tires, smell the burning rubber as I speed down the hill to make good on his words).... anyone want to come?
Now is he a keeper or what?
I'll come but I dont think my husband would let me. lol Have a great day shopping, where are you heading now?
ReplyDeleteah yes keep him! how fun will that be to shop for fabric as a memory of your time there. can't wait to see that pile of fabrics! I love the quilt , just looking around at all those different fabrics, fun! what a great way to use up little pieces and have a wonderful quilt to show for it.
ReplyDeleteKathie

Ohhh wow, a couple of hundred dollar of fabrics? I think I'ld spent the night camping in front of the shop LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Gotta love those hubbies that help feed our fabric addictions. When Ken goes with me to buy fabric I end up with more than I had planned on in the first place. He always seems to find something that I missed or something that goes great with another fabric. We are truely blessed to be married to guys that understand....lol
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see finished quilts. That is such a great feeling. Enjoy shopping! When exactly do you all come home?
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! Great idea your hubby had...and it does make perfect sense. Love your many wonderful squares and HST's and your newly-made rick-rack, too! I'll be anxious to see how you use it.

Yes please, I'd like to come too. Perhaps you should hire a bus rather than try and fit everyone in your car. So, when are we going?
ReplyDeleteThere are VERY FEW guys who tell their wives to go out and buy fabric. Maybe you could teach him to quilt, that way you two can share in the joy of the fabric hunt!!! If I was in your neighborhood I'd join you on your shopping trip. We'll be here waiting to see pictures of what you buy.
