I was so surpised when I received this package from Kattie from Kwilting with Katie
she sent me two wonderful patterns designed by her and this little man, along with fabrics to make the back pack. If you have not been to her blog, do go over and check it out, she does amazing work.
Before I go on, Inchworm Fabrics is having a giveaway and I posted the wrong link to her blog...so just click on inchworm and it will take you to her jelly roll and turnover giveaway.
I think it ends tomorrow.
I think it ends tomorrow.
Now...I have not been sleeping since my husband left, it has left me dragging tail for days....very little sewing going on....but last night, once again I couldn't sleep so instead of tossing and turning...I decided to get up and sew.
I needed two boy baby quilts. Yes, you will see four...someone needs to go back to elementary school...someone does not know how to add......
here is a closer look....
the next set.
Then two table runners.....trying to think of a design for the center.
another one.....
maybe put a circle in the middle? Still thinking.....still dragging because around 3 a.m. I decided to take some tylenol pm and wow....out like a light..... I don't do well with drugs, they affect me terribly so...today I am dragging trying to shake off this sleepiness....gotta clean house, the man is coming home tonight....
I love the quilts. I friended you on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had a hard time sleeping, but wow! What you accomplished! Table runners and baby quilts. You simply amaze me with all you accomplish. It's always so fun to visit your blog and see all the wonderful things you make. Nola
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have been busy. I hate it when I cant sleep especially when I have to get up early the next day. Hope you get get some rest soon.Love you sis.
ReplyDeleteYou are an AMAZING one woman quilter! What fun! Love 'em. Hope you got some sleep, as we can't take much more of these all night projects of yours.....lol. We can't keep up with you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win. Now to come to your decisions. They all look great.

As a chronic insomniac, I can sympathise with you, but at least you put the time to good use. The quilts are great and I know I need the Drunkards Path die now.
ReplyDeleteWow look at you go!!
ReplyDeleteThey are all pretty!
Hope your able to get some real sleep tonight!
Congratulations on the wins!
Barb, you could use the extra baby quilt fronts as backs and make them two sided quilts!
ReplyDeleteGoodness you do some lovely quilting when you are sleep deprived. I hope you get a wonderful nights sleep when your sweetheart gets home.
ReplyDeleteCrispy
Oh my gosh, Barb, you sure do get a lot accomplished when you can't sleep! I just drag around moaning, "Oh, I wish I could sleep!" :o(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts, too!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Nice giveaways gifts you received. That bag is so cute!Love the baby boy quilt tops too.
ReplyDeleteI have times like that but will get up and read instead of sew.
Afraid I will INJURE myself or my project!!
Maybe take a nap today when DH arrives...;-)
Hugs,
Lola
I often have a hard time sleeping but I'm not as productive as you! If I try to sew or knit while sleep deprived, I make too many mistakes that I end up having to frog.
ReplyDeleteGod Barb, even without sleep you are so productive and creative. I can't function without sleep much less create. You are so talented!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, you get more done in your off hours than I do all day long! You are inreal!!!
ReplyDeleteI know that I couldn't possibly put anything that pretty together tired.
ReplyDeleteDon't even get me started on sleep. I haven't had a regular sleep pattern for 15 years now. I just go with the flow. Have tried several different sleep meds and natural remedies but nothing works for very long. I wish I could sew at night but I am afraid it will wake up hubby. He says it won't but I still worry about keeping him up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win.. love the little quitls... when I can't sleep I am to tired to get up so I lay there mad that I can't sleep..lol
ReplyDeleteGreat gifts and wins. See you've joined the IQC (Insomniac Quilt Club). So much to do, so little time :)
ReplyDeleteWow! You are productive when you can't sleep :o) I usually wind up laying there, squeezing my eyes tight shut, trying to convince myself that I *am* asleep.... Hope you get some good shut-eye once hubby returns! Of course, if he brings a lot of fabric, sleep could still be difficult...
ReplyDeleteGreat use of your insomnia! When I can't sleep it makes me feel bad so I just sit there. I love the baby quilts. I agree with Gene, make double sided quilts. Hope you get some sleep tonight.
ReplyDeleteAs much as you always get done, I'm surprised you sleep at all!
ReplyDeletecongrats on your win and great baby boy quilts. there isn't much sleep going on here either. the kid, e; has insomnia due to anxiety....we visited that lovely doc today and hopefully tonight we'll be back to normal, we'll see......i'm like JustCindy, i feel bad when I can't sleep, so I just sit around and watch TV.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win, and you gift is cute. When I can't sleep I sometimes sew, but I'm not as productive as you. I love your blocks.
ReplyDeleteI've tried Tylenol/Advil PM and it just makes me too groggy and sluggish the next day. It doesn't even give me a good nights sleep so it really isn't worth it for me.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Katie do a great job with her Uncle Sams? I get compliments all the time about my back pack. I have a couple family members who have requested one in their favorite colors.
Love the boy quilts! They have a nice ocean feel to them.
I like the last table runner you have pictured.
Barb, congrats on your great win. Your new blocks are very pretty...I love the color blue.
