Well...the elephant sat on my suitcase (meaning me)...and has come and gone.
I had to pay extra for my poundage...I was 20 pounds overweight (I wish I, myself was only 20 pounds overweight...but that is another story, another blog).....so I paid through the nose for my luggage....man...that really makes me grumpy when I think about it.....so I will try to put it out of my mind.
Today, I am in Hawaii....I would continue to grumble about my flight but don't want to bore any of you...but let me tell you, the flying experience is no fun.
Last I heard, the "Go" has not reached my home yet...pooey.....am I grumpy today? Hummmmmm maybe I need to go to bed and wake up again?
Have a safe trip!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
But a Texas smile back on that face. You are almost home... hey, and I told you to mail all that fabric to yourself, but I know you wanted it for when you got home...lol
ReplyDeleteThat would make me grumpy too!
ReplyDeleteCarrying all that fabric sure adds up :-) Can't wait to hear about your GO!!
ReplyDeleteIt will all be over soon! Then you can SEW!
ReplyDeleteLong trips in those small little seats also make me grumpy.. I hope the "Go" will arrive soon to make your day.. Be Safe!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be home soon. A couple days of rest and then you will be ready for more sewing and maybe by then your new toy will be there.
ReplyDeleteyes, traveling is a pain--especially when you have to pay for extra luggage weight! You'll be home soon so hold on!
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly not the joyful event that it used to be. Hope it is a safe one in the end.
ReplyDeleteI love the orange quilt, Barb. Beautiful! I thought the Quilt Taffy one was fabulous too.
Are you flying straight through or laying over in Hawaii for a day or two? Heck.....let's be honest about this ladies......never mind hearing about YOUR "Go" cutter...we really can't wait for you to get home and tell us what we need to do for a chance to win the other "Go" cutter!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Landings! Mr Pfaff is waiting on you.
ReplyDeleteIt costs enough just to fly, let alone pay extra for luggage..
ReplyDeleteYou'll soon be home. I hate flying !
Julia ♥
I agree flying is no longer fun. It is a painful means. But then, look at the fun once you get to where you want to be! Oh, had I hoped we'd have a "Beam me up Scottie" device in my lifetime, but I'm now old enough to realize it won't come in my lifetime! Darn.
ReplyDeleteOn the positive side, I bet your GO! arrives after you've had time to get home, unpack, do laundry, and settle in....e.g. when you have time to play!

PS - I was only 1 lb over weight from Hawaii, but they didn't charge me this year. Last year I had to pay a hefty price for a 1 lb overweight!!!
Have a safe trip. I know it's a loooong one.
ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath, look around you, and go hit the fabric shop around the corner from the Convention Center. Surely you can stuff something in your purse, or buy enough to wrap around your body under your clothes :). And as if you don't have enough to do, think about picking up a Hawaiian applique book (sorry I didn't when I was there last summer) to read on the rest of the trip. Safe journey!
ReplyDeleteNice to know you made it to Hawaii safe. By the time you get home I will be camping. So talk to you next week.
ReplyDeleteHope the res of your trip makes you smile.
ReplyDeleteSitting in airports, paying for overweight luggage, delayed flights, rushing, waiting.... all are not fun. But soon you'll be home and Mr. Pfaff will be there to welcome you.
ReplyDeleteSoon you'll be home! I hate flying too - and now the airlines are digging into your pocketbook deeper with all these extra fees!!! Too bad you couldn't wear all that fabric home!!!
