The new word is fabriphile
any guesses?
hummmmm
The answer is, one who fondles fabric.
Next new word.......fibrififfer.....
any guesses?
One who sniffs fabric.
If any of you have these problems, (I think you all do)....then I think you are a true fabricholic.
(can you tell I have too much time on my hands?)
Your right, we all have it! Too much time on your hands? Go shopping! Buy fabric!
ReplyDeleteFabriholic, one who is addicted to...
ReplyDeleteBarb, you are too funny.
Oh gee, I think they all fit me.
ReplyDeleteyep. LOL
ReplyDeletedid you bring anything to hand stitch??
FUN time too.
ReplyDeleteFabrifile is so appropriate. As long as I can remember, I have walked through stores with my hands out to feel the goodness. This means all clothing stores, too. I can tell the fibers in the clothing by touch. But, I'd rather sit and sort my stash.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a bit too much time on your hands lol.
ReplyDeleteMy dog seems to be a fibrififfer. She has to sniff all new fabric that comes into the house. Silly dog even rolls around on it if I give her the chance. Picture this...I'm at the cutting table with 4 or 5 yards of fabric hanging over the edge while I am cutting strips. Along comes Suzi sniffing and then rolling in the fabric on the floor. Grrr but cute.
YES! But you do know how to make me laugh, and boy, do I ever need it today! Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteP. S. There is life without fabric! It's just kinda dull! lol
ReplyDeleteI think you need to do more shopping!! Love the new words. LOL
ReplyDeleteso what do you call the ones who have to take the fabric and rub it against their cheek?
ReplyDeleteI might have done that on occasion. But I ain't confessing to anything!
hahaha...I suspect anything that has the word "fabric" in it does apply to most of us!!!
ReplyDeleteWe all may need to enroll in a twelve step program...those words definitely apply to me!
ReplyDeletenow what are the words for "fear or fabric" or "fear of fabric store" My husband has both those disorders!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's me Barb..fabric is my life!
ReplyDeleteJulia ♥
Well, I am definitely a lover (fondler) of fabric, but I can't say I sniff it. haha.
ReplyDeleteLOL......Barb.....I'm a fabriaddicNoNo.... which means I'm addicted to buying fabric, holding onto it and barely able to cut into my stash without major counciling......LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL. I know I get more pleasure out of buying fabric than buying clothes, food, or other items.

So I saw this saying in a quilt store in Lancaster that I like.
ReplyDeleteYou don't expect a stamp collector to mail a letter with one of his stamps.
You don't expect a coin collector to get something out of a vending machine with one of his coins.
So why do you expect me to use my fabric. I am a fabric collector not a fabriholic.
It went something like that, I will try to write it down next time I am in there.
