Did you know....

That there is only one Post Office on the Island of Amerika Samoa? We had a small one but it was destroyed in the tsunami.

Did you know....

That we do not have mail delivered to our homes...so no mailman.
We have to go to Pago to the Post Office to pick our mail up.

Did you know.....

That there are only two flights out of Amerika Samoa and only one takes packages?

So if you see that I get alot of stuff, it is just that it all comes in on the same plane...sometimes these packages have been waiting forever to get here. If by some chance they have the privilege of going by boat....it will take longer.

So....this is what I got this week.

My friend Barb from Nana Barb Musings sent me this magazine, she said she had two. She also mentioned tutoring someone in trigonometry....HUH????? Thanks for thinking of me Barb....

Did you know, she was one of my first blogging friends? Yep....been almost two years now.

The next is from Quilt Taffy. I discovered that she carries the schnibbles and so I go to her for all my schnibble needs....and while I was there, I found this awesome fabric..... As you can tell, I could not resist.

I won these patterns over at Creativity Amongst Chaos
Thanks so much, I love these patterns....

Next is my friend Janes (she says I can call her friend)....over at Janes Fabrics and Quilts
Now Jane is pretty smart, on her right sidebar she puts some of her fabric she has in her store....and these eyes of mine could not resist so off I went. Jane...get rid of that....too tempting.... I will have to do the 12 step program if you continue.

Then my apologies to my BFF Pat, she sent me some lighthouse panels and I want to show them to you but...by George if I can find them..... I put them somewhere, I was contemplating on making pillows out of them. sorry pat.... That is what happens when I get organized....so maybe being a pig is not so bad after all.

Did you know, that I cleaned my sewing room? So hence the problem above is consequences of that act.

To be honest I think I would like to get the mail once a week, each week it would feel like Christmas, look at all the goodies you received!! Enjoy!!

  2. Lucky you Barb, that magazine is great. Thanks for sharing Quilt Taffy as a location to buy the scnibbles patterns. I'll have to go and check them out. I also love that girly pinwheel pattern made up in pink and red, so adorable. I'm also a sucker for polka dots and floral fabrics in the blue & red colorway. Looks like you had a haul this week.

  5. Ha, that also cuts down on the number of days you receive bills in the mail. So how does that work?

  8. The fabrics are gorgeous. I especially love the brown - those flowers are so appealing.
I also hate to clean my sewing room, not only because I'm lazy, but also because I can't find a darned thing when I'm done!

  10. I think I need to make friends with Jane! That fabric is so pretty and tempting.

And don't you just hate it when you clean and then can't find what you put away to be safe and easy to get at later?

  12. hahahaha....I know how that happens. I am always "losing" things but they end up finding themselves eventually. Those lighthouse panels will turn up when you least expect it...I'm looking for a sweatshirt jacket I started to "decorate" with quilt blocks so I can wear it to the quilt show this week. Can I find it? NOPE! Will I find it? YUP...probably when I get BACK from the quilt show!!!

  14. That always happens to me too when I clean up. I put things in such safe places that I can never find them again! Great mail you have been getting - even if it only comes in batches and you have to go and pick it up.

  18. It sounds like you and I shop at the same sites. Is that good or bad????

I just cleaned my sewing space last week (to get organized) so I hope I can find things when I need them. I really hate to change places for anything because I still go back to the "old" spots.

  19. Interesting facts about Amerikan Samoa - I have a friend who lived there years ago when her husband was the Assistant Attorney General there and she really enjoyed that time there.
I have a question about Schnibbles - is that the name of the pattern company or is it a special technique? I hear so many people talking about them and was just wondering -
    Have a great day -

  24. Oh, those last fabrics from Jane are my favorite. I do think I need some.
Cleaning and putting things away always causes such problems. I can never find anything when I put them where I will always remember.
