So....you all saw my post below where my one friends is now quilting. She just went on line and ordered a ton of fabric. She wants more....does that sound familiar? I have the bug today, I just took a trip to
Green Fairy quilts. Caught my niece online of
Inchworm fabrics and begged her for more fabric.....I have never been a junkie before and have never experience the "I need a fix" in that way....but ladies and Gents....I need a fix and I need it now!!!!

It is not like I need more fabric (this is just part of the stash)....and the truck is in the shop so there is no running down to the store to just look (ha!!! like that don't ya....just to look...wink wink). What, this too will pass, I am a greedy monger....yes....once again the shoe fits...I am wearing it happily.

Of course you need more fabric! Don't we all! ;0) And the first thing I noticed in your photo was your earthquakeometer!! LOL

ReplyDeleteI had that bug last month and after a couple small purchases and time, I was able to let it go. Even went into a quilt shop today and didn't buy a piece of fabric (but had to get 2 patterns to appease the need not to walk out of there empty handed!)
so sing it to me, sista!
I've just forced myself to stop, at least for awhile. I have very limited storage space, and I'm maxed out. Have to get sewing.

ReplyDeleteI am actually trying to use up from my stash this year. I have bought 4 1/2 yards so far to add to my baby quilt making stash. The reason for this isw that I spent several years as an addict and have more material than I will ever use!

ReplyDeleteI have to admit I have an addiction also. I have been trying to fight the urge since we have a quilt show coming up in less than 2 weeks. If you smell plastic melting at that time you will know it is from me!
ReplyDeleteAnd happily you should wear it. You make beautiful creations with your fabrics and there is absolutely no shame in wanting more supplies for your creative spirit.

ReplyDeleteLOL looks like a lot of fun to me! When you moved to AS, did you take any fabric along? We lived in an apt for a few months before ending up in our home and I had a little stash to move from the apartment! :-o

ReplyDeletegot fabric? I wished I had room to spread all my fabric out on a wall shelf or something, it's all stashed in bins and tubs. But, it's all good. I love Green Fairy.

ReplyDeleteI just caved in and ordered fabric from Missouri Star Quilt Company...Oz from Moda...I love it!
ReplyDeleteI used to teach quilting at night school for the Toronto Board of Education. It was an interest course and no marks were given, but my students kept asking me about tests and evaluations and passing etc. I told them that they would know if they had passed my course when they showed symptoms of the fabric aquisition bug. You see, it's a good thing.

ReplyDeleteI KNOW, I KNOW!! That earthquakeometer starts to shake, you grab all of the fabrics and start throwing it on the floor to cushion things as they are falling off of the shelves and wall to prevent them from breaking!

I love the shelving. I so need to organize my fabric where I can see it...Instead of tubs and empty suitcases, and a empty tv armoire. Your method is so much better. And yes you need more fabric.
