Yep, my first completed project for the year....the signature quilt that Linda,
Fiber Fibrications organized. I did mine a little different. I found matching material for the muslin (Moda off white) and then I put different color blocks next to each muslin...then....I added names. I got to thinking that I have more than 12 blogging friends...so I hope I don't upset some of you but I added your names and will continue to add more on the colored slots... What a better way to mark 2009 than with all of my blogging friends on a quilt....
Don't forget my giveaway below!!!
It is lovely, Barb! And the giveaway is great, too! I didn't enter because I have made myself a promise to work from my stash this year. Can't break my resolution on day one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Way to go! You are one talented and special woman! ♥ HUGS ♥

ReplyDeleteOh, you are a show off! It really is beautiful, and using the colored squares completes it. What a great idea to add more names. Guess I have some ketchin' up to do!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute! But I'm a bit jealous that you have already finished a quilt in 2010. You are so organized!

ReplyDeleteCrispy
I think it's really creative and fun!
ReplyDeleteEgads!!!! I will be the last one to finish mine I know it- BEAUTIFUL job you did- and so fast!!!! You're putting the bar a bit too high!!! LOL I have squares from the fabric I used for all the blocks I made (they were all different) and was thinking of doing something with them as sashing, was working on it yesterday. I better get busy now!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! So far in 2010, I haven't even been to my sewing room. Hopefully today....
ReplyDeletePS - and I see my pink and brown block in the upper right corner!!!!:>)
ReplyDeleteWow..good going Barb. I love your sashing idea. I am thinking I could use up some charm squares that way. The seams wouldn't match like yours do, but then I wouldn't have to TRY to line up the seams! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI spent my pre-new Year's time working on the Ginger Jar quilt. I have the blocks made and the sashings made. All I have to do is join, do borders etc.
You are just too smart, already finishing a quilt in 2010. I wish I had done one of those signature quilts for my mother when she turned 90.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! What a fun way to showcase your friends signature blocks.
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe you! Such a busy bee! I don't know how you do it! Are you even unpacked yet? Need I ask....I am sure it is all laundered, pressed and put away! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt Barb. I can't believe that you just got home and you are already quilting. You are a busy girl
ReplyDeleteAlready a finish! Woo Hoo!!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with it. Now here is MY plan for those blocks...to wait and see what the other 11 of you do and then I'll have lots of ideas to choose from to finish MINE!!! (hehehe...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea! You are off to a good start.
