These pillowcases came all the way from Canda....how awesome is that??? Thanks so much Rose Marie.

Mary from Quilt Hollow sent these. Now she sent alot of material for me to use....little did she know that I was asked to teach ladies from different villages and in turn they would go to their village and teach others what they learned. This non profit organization I talked about is trying to get people to learn skills that they can possibly turn into a home business. So we will see and definitely these supplies will come in handy...along with what Lee sent and Linda. Thanks so much!!

Finally, Debi and I were wondering if these pillowcases were ever going to come in....yepeeee. Aren't they lovely? You can find Debi over at Quilting with Debi

Pat from Artfully ooglebloops sent all of these amazing clothes...and a big thanks to Connie too.

Darlene from Sew Cal Gal
thanks you so much....all these things will be soo appreciated.

Nancy from True Blue quilting nana
The kids will love all these wonderful books and crayons etc. I was told that alot of the kids are afraid to go back to school, maybe this will motivate them?

Melinda from Melinda's fabric fancies, thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, what you all have sent is so wonderful!!!

If anyone know of a place I can get used sewing machines?

  1. Have you thought of contacting some of the major machine companies to ask them for leads about used sewing machines? Maybe there could be some donated to you (but not sure about the shipping costs). Great things people are putting in packages to send there to you for the folks who need so much yet!

  2. Barbara how about a letter to Janome and the other machine makers? Just tell them what has happened and what you are doing to help the people recover. It is a part of Our Country and charity begins at home. Even a refurbished one will help. If that doesn't work we bloggers can send a dollar or two and that should buy you one as there are hundreds of us.

  6. That now puts the count at 47 boxes. I am so happy about that. I am hoping at least three more make it so that the count will be 50.

I will do one more blog about the giveaway with a picture of the fabric you sent to go along with the fat quarters.

  8. I agree with the other gals, ask the sewing machine companys. They may be able to give you some direction on where they would be available.
