I can not begin to thank each of you enough. You all are so awesome. I wish I had time to list all that you sent and properly thank you. I am working with a friend that is spear heading a new orginaztion here on the island that is formed to help after the Red Cross leaves. There is still alot to be done and alot of people who will need help. I believe these items will go to her after we complete what we need for those we know that need help.
The service project that I was in charge of, only 14 people showed up but we got alot done. We made 19 lava lavas, 14 pillows, made 24 hygiene kits and were working on baby quilts for the ladies that are having babies at church. Not too bad in a few hours of work???? Thanks to all of you who made those hygiene kits possible...now I will go and make more with what was went today. Thanks sooo much.
If I got your name wrong, or didn't put a blog name on there, I am sorry, if you will let me know my error...I will be happy to correct it and apologize.
WOW!! Blogland is really coming thru!!! Mine should show up in the next wave of mail. Your new organization sounds like a great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteIt warms my heart to see all of that kindness! Thank you for all that you are doing Barb. It is a lot of work and you are helping so many in need.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! Look at all those packages. If I have it right that is 37 packages so far. For those that sent a second package I entered their name a second time into the drawing.
ReplyDeleteOops, I boo boo'd. I went back and reread the post and see that Quilting Daisy sent three packages so I add her name three times. I will go back over the list and the posts carefully before I do the drawing so that no one gets missed.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness the sweetness of folks is amazing at times!

You know this is how it should be ...folks helping folks whether you know them or not.
Just doing the right thing.Wish the rest of our world could use this as an example.
Hugs to you Barb for doing all you do for everyone around you in the midst of the disaster.

I can't speak for the others, but you don't have to spend time taking photos and posting them of boxes I send....you have SO many boxes and that requires a lot of your time. I'd be happy with just knowing the box reached you intact!
