That is what Artfully Ooglebloops said they are but....
You can find these at All People Quilts and they call them Grab Bags....
Why am I showing these to you again? Well, I have done a tutorial and it is HERE. I thought that I would share what I learned and maybe make it alittle easier for those of you who want to make one. Maybe help in the process of figuring it all out and save you some time. Isn't that what we all need more of, TIME????? And...for those of you who are not interested right now...you won't have to be bothered with a long tutorial....
This was a comment that was on my last post about these bags and thought you would find it interesting.

Barb- I was at Sock Summit (an amazing knitting expo in Portland, Oregon) last month and these little bags were selling like hotcakes! If you put a ball of yarn in it, and feed the yarn out through the opening (not quite zipped up) you can put the bag on your wrist and walk around and knit! WAAAAY COOL! I'm going to make one and put the zipper opening at the bottom and leave a small opening at the top (base of the zipper) so the yarn can feed out and not rub against the teeth of the zipper. And just for the record- if you start making "perfect" things- you'll just make the rest of us look bad. I love your little bags!
Well, these bags don't have a zipper and well...maybe I will put some in my little store? I have several cut out (well....if I can stop making them and giving them away)....
Ah ha. Now I get it. Thanks for the hints. I was making it too complicated. Will try to make one, if I ever get time...lol
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely! Thanks for the tutorial :O)
ReplyDeleteI think this is like a bag I made once from a tutorial Pat Sloan directed us to use.....there was a step in the directions that confused a lot of us....so I'll have to look at yours later and see if you zeroed in on that trouble spot!
ReplyDeleteWhatever they are called - that is a great idea to use them to carry your yarn- for those who knit/crochet while walking!!! Some of us find it hard to chew gum and walk at the same time!!! LOL Also as a little girl's purse - just the right size and very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these. I've got to try to make one or three. What great little gifts too! Now if only I were on better terms with the sewing machine! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you drop by my blog. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI want to make some of these for Christmas gifts.
