SWEATING BULLETS

Because of this:

and not being able to finish this:

But I found a little spool of white (not much) but I was able to finish.

I chose a blue for the backing because the little gal that is getting this quilt loves blue. I do not do my binding the way most quilters do...sorry....am I going to be handcuffed and taken away?

Over at Quilting in Oz she is doing the chicken dance but I am doing the happy dance because I was able to get another project out of the way....and my mother is sending me some more white thread...Gotta love the mommies out there!!! They take care of their babies...even when they are big and have babies of their own.

  2. That was cutting it close! Glad you were able to scrounge up some white thread to finish.

How do you do your binding? It looks like you use the backing as part of the binding. I've tried making the backing larger and folding over to make the binding, but it never works just right. I always get frustrated. Probably just not cutting the backing the "right" size I guess...

  6. so? how do you do your binding different from anybody? I normally cut my binding strips 3 inches, fold in half, sew to back & flip to FRONT & sew down.....works for ME. And that's all that matters, right?

  9. I think it looks very nice and I don't think it matters which way you bind your quilts. Remember...there are NO Quilt Police!!!

  12. Great work, getting that one finished...I hate when you are so close and need a bit more...thread...batting...whatever! Another one bites the dust!
As long as the binding gets put on, you are doing well. How do you do it differently, you have me curious?
