My Tejas quilt with alittle Mexicanna
As you know, my son left yesterday. I stippled this quilt yesterday to keep myself busy. I got done about 11:30 last night. What you are looking at is the backing of the quilt. I chose a Samoan fabric, the top is all Samoan fabric as well...so it was only fitting that I do so.
This quilt was not only fun to make but fun to stipple as well. Infact, I had starched the backing and I really think this kept it from bunching. I had no bunching to take out, totally amazing. Once again I serged around the quilt when finished and believe me you, that makes all the difference in the world.
Now on to a small problem. CharoMomma is moving this month. I can send her package to her mom but I don't think she will have time to pass on the bags. Sooooo do I make another bag to replace the one I am going to send to her or....do I just choose another winner and forfeit a round in the round robin?
Barb love the Samoan fabric.
ReplyDeleteI wish your son well.
Love that quilt with the Samoan fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. As far as the round robin goes? Hmmmmm I think I'll abstain from voting in this one. I'll let that be YOUR decision. Or maybe ask Charro Momma what she says she wants to do.

Love the quilt. For the round robin, I say, send Charo the bag she won, and choose another winner for the remaining four bags. That way the give-away can continue without you having to make another bag, and Charro doesn't have to add more to her things to do list while trying to move.
ReplyDelete~Tootles for now!
Oh how I love this quilt! It's absolutely beautiful! Front, back, the whole thing is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Round Robin, I agree with Carlotta. But of course the final decision is yours to make.
Wow! Quilt looks great!!! Good job!
ReplyDeleteWow love the fabrics. The Samoan fabrics are just beautiful. Are they 100% cotton fabrics? Do they produce the products there?
ReplyDeleteAs far as the robin goes, just draw another name and let it just progress from there. Saves you from having to make another bag and Charo doesn't have to fret over it.
IMHO
Crispy
I think it's beautiful. "Busy Backs" are ALWAYS good!
ReplyDeleteI serge the edges of my quilts too. It leaves me lots of LAZY time. i can use them witha serged edge, and then i can take my time sewingon the binding
How wide does that Samoan fabric come in? We might talk "trade".

Absolutely love the quilt, you did a great job. The Round Robin??? I think the decision is yours!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI think you can just send her one bag and send the other four to another person who entered and they can send on the other three. But I hope you have fun whatever you choose. It was a great idea.
*hugs*
How did I miss this post yesterday? Love the quilt! I've probably asked before...do you have a long arm or quilt on a domestic machine?
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beautiful and the fabric is scrumptious!!
ReplyDeleteWould be sad for CharoMomma to miss out on getting a bag due to moving, but... I can understand your delimma! (I think I need spell check!) I just can't give you an answer! LOL :D No help am I?! :D
Good luck with your decision making!
(((big huge hugs!!))) Tis sad when children grow up!

ReplyDeleteHey again hun, that Samoan fabric is gorgeous...is it the sort of fabric they use on the sarong type outfits you see the indigenous people wearing? Hugs Naomi from Adelaide, Sth Australia
