IRONING BOARD COVER

NEW IRONING BOARD COVER

OLD IRONING BORAD COVER

I was going to take this nasty ironing board down to church tonight, we need one. I have taken it before and the kids just say ooooooo what did you do to your ironing board....so today...I thought I would just recover it and not be so embarassed.

  1. Oooo...what did you do to your ironing board? It's so cute! :)

Great idea, mine could use a makeover. Of course I don't realize it until I'm trying to take pictures or something! LOL

  2. I do everything on my board and it's cut in several places. I think I should change it too. Yours is very pretty now!

  3. My ironing board is where I mark, cut, pin, oh yeah, and PRESS or IRON. I've got starch stains, water stains, burnt marks, etc. all over mine. I guess mine is due for an overhaul as well. Maybe I can get around to doing that soon. Yours looks great!

  6. Very classy!! No scorch marks will show on this new one.
I made my entire work table an ironing board by laying down the thermolite and a layer of thick batting. Then I covered it in flannel. There is no room in my little studio for an ironing board.

  10. GOOD job! (Why do I recognize that fabric? I think maybe it was used on something you showed us on your blog recently?? If I wasn't so lazy, I'd look back and find out, wouldn't I? LOL)

  12. I need to make one for my ironing board...I have the small take along ironing board and they don't make covers for those anymore. They just want you to spend $12.00 on a new one...

I love the way your cover turned out! Really pretty and bright.

  13. That is a take along ironing board...I just used the old cover as a pattern, and kept the string they used to pull around the board for the new one. I don't know if you can tell but the old board has a big whole in it.

  16. Wow Barb, that is lovely. I am thinking that maybe I should MAKE a new cover for my "over the door" ironing board. I haven't been able to find one to buy for it. You make it seem so easy to do.
