NEW IRONING BOARD COVER
OLD IRONING BORAD COVER
I was going to take this nasty ironing board down to church tonight, we need one. I have taken it before and the kids just say ooooooo what did you do to your ironing board....so today...I thought I would just recover it and not be so embarassed.
Oooo...what did you do to your ironing board? It's so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, mine could use a makeover. Of course I don't realize it until I'm trying to take pictures or something! LOL
I do everything on my board and it's cut in several places. I think I should change it too. Yours is very pretty now!
ReplyDeleteMy ironing board is where I mark, cut, pin, oh yeah, and PRESS or IRON. I've got starch stains, water stains, burnt marks, etc. all over mine. I guess mine is due for an overhaul as well. Maybe I can get around to doing that soon. Yours looks great!

That looks great!
ReplyDeletegood job, you win Ironing Board of the Day! All kidding aside it looks great. How nice to see a bright cheery board instead of the boring grey most of us have
ReplyDeleteGreat cover! I really like the new fabric.
ReplyDeleteVery classy!! No scorch marks will show on this new one.
ReplyDeleteI made my entire work table an ironing board by laying down the thermolite and a layer of thick batting. Then I covered it in flannel. There is no room in my little studio for an ironing board.
I really like that fabric....very polynesian! My kids gave me a new cover for Christmas...didn't realize how sad mine looked until I went to put the new one on!
ReplyDeleteMine gets pretty bad pretty fast. Your new one looks very cool!
ReplyDeleteOooo very pretty, now you will be happy doing all your ironing...er...I mean pressing LOL.
ReplyDeleteCrispy
GOOD job! (Why do I recognize that fabric? I think maybe it was used on something you showed us on your blog recently?? If I wasn't so lazy, I'd look back and find out, wouldn't I? LOL)
ReplyDeletewow!
ReplyDeletei need to make a cover too but I struggle with it so much.
I need to make one for my ironing board...I have the small take along ironing board and they don't make covers for those anymore. They just want you to spend $12.00 on a new one...
ReplyDeleteI love the way your cover turned out! Really pretty and bright.
That is a take along ironing board...I just used the old cover as a pattern, and kept the string they used to pull around the board for the new one. I don't know if you can tell but the old board has a big whole in it.
ReplyDeleteOoo.... that's a cute ironing board. Beautiful fabric!
ReplyDeleteIroning board cover looks fabulous
ReplyDeleteonly one problem I don't think I could use it ...........Way to nice(lol)
Wow Barb, that is lovely. I am thinking that maybe I should MAKE a new cover for my "over the door" ironing board. I haven't been able to find one to buy for it. You make it seem so easy to do.
ReplyDeleteOOOh, I really like that!!!
ReplyDeleteYour new ironing board cover will make ironing fun. :o]
ReplyDeleteI think the next time I need to redo my cover I might have to go a little crazy.
Hope you have a great day. :o}
