No sewing lately....too tired.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER!!!!

Alot of you may think I only have one niece, I actually have many and I love and adore all of them, they are very amazing young ladies, I would do this for them and anything else they would need. Gotta love those girls since they are rare to me.

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY!

All of these wonderful pillowcases.......Look at the cute card Joyce made....I have never seen a quilted card. This card is adorable and well......I never have cards around here....so what an idea!!!
I know, these cards are all over blog land but until now...I didn't realize how amazing they are.

Joyce you are sooooooooo wonderful and amazing.

more pillowcases.....

and more pillowcases......

I am just overwhelmed with gratitude to you Joyce, you made 58 pillowcases, if I counted correctly. One thing you didn't know was, that we have had alot of rain lately. We even had a cyclone form over the island about a week ago...it was horrible.....80 mph winds.....rain to where you could not even see in front of you. Well...the little village of Tula (if I spelt that right)....who was hit by the tsunami was once again hit by flooding and lot of their things just went right out in the ocean. I am giving these pillowcases to the non Profit organization and she is going to hand them out to this village.

Also, if you sent me a quilt, you might see it on ebay, the non profit organization is trying to raise money...I sure hope you don't mind.....thanks soooo much for all of you and what you have done....you see....you don't realize what an impact you have made but all of you have.......THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!

I have heard this alot this week....it is a woman's perogative to change her mine!

Well.....you all know that I am giving this away over at Inch worm Fabrics.

What I failed to tell you was that I put insul brite on the inside instead of batting. Which means you can put anything hot or cold on it and it won't affect the surface of your table. I loved sewing with this insul brite and it lays so flat. I almost used the last of my insul brite. A friend ordered us both some....anyways....making a short story long....

I LOVE this table runner so I decided to take this:

and do this?

to make more of these!! I think I can get two long ones and a smaller one...yepeeee
Did I say how much I love my table runner.....and I have a few friends that need cheering up too...so this will be perfect. Unfortunately, this was all I was able to do last night......

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING!!!

and.......no, I didn't forget about my towels.....has always been in the back of my mind....and you were thinking I had......oh......but noooooo......

So how about some more teapots????

Penquins......

Frogs.....

Actually, I started ironing the pieces on in the afternoon yesterday.

Around 5:00 I started blanket stitching them waiting for my husband to come home...thinking that I might get part way through one and then I can slowly work on these when I don't feel like doing something big.....

Six o'clock rolls around and the man is still not home....by seven he is home and I had all but the penquins done.

While making cupcakes for the funeral (yes, I changed my mind.....I actually made them...so beat me shoot me!!)....I finished the penquins. So much for projects when I didn't feel like doing much else!!

LOOK WHAT I INHERITED!!!!

Trust me when I say that this will be the last time you will see this desk top clean and the floors.....I can make a mess faster than anyone. Don't you just love my new desk? This is the corner view

This is the side view facing the door....

This is the other side facing the wall....so you all know what I will be up to in the next few days.

And...(yes...never start a sentence with and).....because of my calling in my church (counselor over the women organization)....I have three funerals to attend to this week. Now I am going to tell you all something that is very strange to me (not to tell you to make fun of but just to tell you). The Samoan people do not bury their dead within 3 days like we do in the states (unless circumstances dictate otherwise). These burials can last up to two to three weeks. It is a long drawn out process. Then....at the funeral, we are expected to bring cakes and at the end, we hand out slices of cake to the guest in styrofoam containers as they leave (these containers are usually full). So I will be buying six cakes tonight....no, this woman is not going to bake them...yes....call me lazy...call me whatever.... So for the next 3 days my mornings will be in mourning.

Another thing, if you have not looked at my personal blog, they bury their dead in their yard. That was really creepy for me when I first came here.

Next....take a look at what I won at Sew Cal Gals virtual Christmas Quilts.

Don't forget the sale over at Inchworm Fabrics

SAME TABLE RUNNER? OR ARE YOU SEEING DOUBLE?

My question to you today is, is this the same table runner.....
