WHAT DOES COLD AND COLOR HAVE TO DO WITH EACH OTHER?

                                NOTHING....

                             ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!

But Baby it is cold outside

That being said, I am gonna give you some Color...lots of Color

                               Awesome Ocean

                              Awesome Color!!!

I finally finished my sew along with Kathleen McMusing.

If it wasn't so cold and the ground still wet from all of this rain, I could have gone outside to get you a beautiful picture but me being the cold  baby that I am....indoors it is.

Feels so good to have it done.

Island Batik Scraps (do you really think my scrap pile has gone down????  NOPE)

The border is Timeless Treasures which I purchased at Hancock of Paducah

Hobbs Batting Tuscany which I might add makes it so fluffy.

Color makes me so happy.

Batiks makes me just as happy.

My sister, Jeanette, at Inchworm Fabrics and I are going to be doing a project with the awesome batiks she has in her store.  I had to order more fabric from her, bummer (smiling here).

Oh, I love your Ocean quilt. Makes me think of summer. I love the wonderful colors in your quilt. Speaking of cold, it's snowing here in Michigan. As if things weren't bad enough! Gads. Keep on sewing!

Congratulations on your finish. Absolutely brilliant quilt. I love all your cheerful batiks. Who cares about a rainy day when you have this quilty cheerfulness nearby. Great job.

Oh, the sea creatures look so awesome in the batiks! I really love how they look...as if water were there changing their glistening colors. Yes, that border fabric is so great. Well done!

Cold? We hit freezing overnight. It is 32F now. (Ugh) Give me balmy island breezes instead, please.

At least your Awesome Ocean can make me feel a bit more tropical. (grin) It came out great.

I agree I am over the cold. We had snow all day long one day. Then sunshine and 51 the next. Love your awesome ocean!

Amazing how the scraps and stash seems to grow....I'm a sucker for a good deal and even though I put myself on a "fabric buying" diet but that doesn't count for garage/estate sales or and 2nd hand finds, right? Your sew along finish is lovely..so colorful!
