My husband came home last week and asked if I would make a quilt for him.  He knew this young gal that was pregnant and working so hard to help provide for her family.

So I went to work on this quilt.

                                      Image may contain: indoor

                                                               44" x 44"

Notice the two different borders, well...that is a mistakooooo.  When I was cutting I thought I had enough strips of the lighter color.  SOOOOO when it came time to sew the side borders on....OOOPS, someone was not paying attention and didn't have enough.

Oh well...I just went with it and did what you see here

Friday I made up these cute cute cars.  I used the Accuquilt Go cutter and the car die, along with Marjorie Busby's embroidery design.

Aren't these adorable?????

Here is her website:  Do check it out, you can still do up her designs without the Accuquilt Go cutter.

I used Island Batik scraps, Ebony Love's (Lovebug Studio) Island Batik Primo.  Oh these fabrics are so out of this world.  Hummm do I say that about all of their fabrics?
These fabrics will not be in stores til January or February, I was disappointed because I had wanted to purchase more of these fabrics.

You can take a look at these gorgeous fabrics HERE

Since Saturday I have been going back and forth to the Hospital in Texarkana to visit my mother, about a 35 minute drive which isn't bad but....I haven't had much sew time.

My mother went in Saturday and then my daughter in law went into the hospital Sunday morning before the cocks crow.  My husband had to go and fetch our grandson (2 hours away) and so we have had him as well.

I got up early one morning before I went to the hospital to put the rows together and that evening I finished her up...ahhhh it feels so good to that that done.

Now for the exciting part.

Here is the line up.  It starts next Monday!  Look at all the fabulous fabrics, so bright and fun.  I want them all.  There will be a giveaway each week and on some of the blogs.  The best part is these ambassadors are so amazingly talented, I promise you, you will be so inspired!!!!

That’s so sweet of your husband to think 'quilt' for the young lady, and for you to come up with such a cute one for him to gift her. How are your mom and DIL doing?
