THE REST OF THE STORY - "THE BOX" (be warned, photo intensive)

THE BOX

I am giddy just writing this post.

Image may contain: text

Oh yes, they decided to keep me for another year!

The box is my first box of the year of Island Batik Goodies.

As an ambassador, we get two boxes of Island Batik fabric, Hobbs Batting, Aurifil threads.

We are asked to do a certain challenge each month with what has been sent and post about it.

Love the surprise packages, which will be revealed in July and trust me when I tell you that Island Batik knows me all so well when they sent me these fabrics.

Will you look at all of this?

Flea Market...oh my gosh....yummy!!

Stash builders - 5" wide the length of the fabric strips.

I have already open these puppies up and started using them.

                                      Island Batik Rayon and scarf.

The scarf has been worn!!  Can I say that I love it!

The yellowish on the right - GONE ...all used up

Yes, already!!

Black, White, and Gray Bundles (3 yards each)...
Neutral yardages (5 yards)

Can I say double yummy?

Oh my stinking gosh.....  look at all of the Hobbs batting!!www.hobbsbatting.com

Can I say triple yummy???

Then this foundation bundle....have I told you that I looooove
                                         LIME GREEN and PURPLE together???

I am making a long story longer here.  The day before I got the BOX,

I am minding my own business, walking out the door and low and behold this is at my door!!

Can I say double excited?  I had the eyes of an owl when I saw this box.

Ready. Set. GO! Ultimate Fabric Cutting System
This is what was in the box.

I was so excited about the QUBE that I immediately started playing.

To be honest, I was not familiar with the QUBE and was not that interested until I got one.
All I can say is that it makes it so much easier to piece.  I don't consider myself to be that great of a piecer but this QUBE has made it simple and easy.

So, I kept playing

                                                                   and playing

                                                                    I played in my sleep

                                                   I played all day!!

                                                    and  played all night

until I came up with this

I can think of nothing better than Island Batik Fabric,

Hobbs Batting www.hobbsbatting.com(used a left over piece from a previous project)

Grins, such a great post. Your blocks remind me of the snow we had a couple weeks ago. It kept snowing, and snowing, and snowing. They look fabulous. I’m crushing on the green and purple fabric.

Wow they sure are spoiling the Ambassadors. So much more then when I was an Ambassador. But you do a lot of designing for them. So good luck and enjoy your bounty.

Sounding like Dr Seuss, playing with fabrics from a box, playing with a fox, playing here and there? playing anywhere!!
