Whimsical and Wonky

December's challenge for the Island Batik Ambassadors is as you can see Whimsical and Wonky.

We could chose either one and do any size.

I really wanted to do My Wonky Christmas Trees but I couldn't find enough background fabric that suited me so I just did one of my Trees....even the border is wonky..

                                                Wonky Christmas Trees Runner/Wall Hangin

I would say the majority of the fabric is Alpin Jingle.

Then I had done a little work for one of my cousins and refused money.

The next thing I know she has two Island Stacks sent to me and one of them was Tinsel by Island Batik.

Oh my gosh, I could have just put 8 inch squares together and it would be whimsical, this fabric is totally awesome.

But I did Wonky Baskets.

I used Hobbs Tuscany Cotton/Wool blend batting
I truly enjoyed working with this batting.

I used Aurifil Thread 2600 - a light blue/gray

I love love this little Throw

I just want to take a minute to thank Island Batik for stretching my abilities, helping me to learn new techniques and to become better at old ones.

Thank you for the fabulous fabrics, batting and aurifil threads.

What a great and festive wonky tree. The fabrics are a nice surprise from your cousin and your baskets quilt is delightful.

I've always loved your wonky trees. I also love the wonky houses in the Island Batik picture. Are you going to be an Ambassador again next year?

What great projects! That tree from your pattern is adorbs. I love that your friend sent you something you used right away - you must be an energizer bunny!
