I have the delightful fabrics "Alpine Jingle"
OH BOY!!!!
So I decided to make a tree farm. I used all but two of the fabrics from the Alpine Jingle collection.
We had a slight breeze when I took this picture....brrrrrr
Yes, it has been cold in Texas!
I got out my trusty Accuquilt Go cutter, using the Holiday Medley die.
Remembering I had some of Marjorie Busby's embroidery designs for the Accuquilt tree die, as you see above. I just used the outline because the awesome fabrics can handle their own in design.
Decided to hand quilt.
Here is my thimble collection.
You are probably wondering why I have Elmer's Spray Adhesive on here.
With all of these thimbles, not one of them would stay on my finger so I got the idea to spray some of this spray adhesive inside my smallest thimble. What a difference that made. I will have to admit the first time you put your finger in after spraying it in, it is a little tight getting it out but after that a breeze. Well worth it.
This runner you have seen before but I wanted to show you again. These hearts are what I cut out from the scraps of the trees. Don't like wasting the fabric or the fabric adhesive.
My Giveaway
Here is 24 pieces of the "Alpine Jingle" fabric. The pieces range from 5" to 6" wide by 10" to 13" long with a snap bag to hold them.
Moose Stash Quilting has a tutorial on how to make them, if you are interested.
All you have to do is leave a comment.
Please hop over to Purrfect Spots she is also posting today using her "Alpine Jingle" fabrics.
Here is the line up for the hop:

You always come up with a great project!
I love your trees! The colors are great. Snap bags are wonderful.
You made a super cute tree farm with the beautiful fabric!
Barb I love your tree farm. The fabrics and the trees would work well on so many projects. I'm a scrap addict and I always enjoy seeing how you use your scraps. You are the Table Runner Queen.
Cute quilt with the trees. I like that idea and it's really pretty using this fabric collection as well. I have the die you used and when you mentioned Marjorie's embroidery designs to go with that dies, I remembered I had bought some of hers as well. I wasn't sure which ones I did end up buying and found that I had bought the Holiday Medley Die Set 2 embroidery design set. I don't see that on her website any longer, I may have missed it. I liked this set because it's just the tree and snowflake only and multiples of each of those. The difference in this set is that each of the trees in the set are outlined using a different outlines so there are multiple choices to use making each tree (or snowflake) slightly different looking.
Your tree quilt looks great - but I am partial to the hearts table runner. I do like the ability to use the scraps.
The trick with the thimble sounds like something I need to try. When I do hand work I spend a lot of time "chasing" the thimble when it falls off my finger. I don't have nearly the thimble collection that you have.
Cute idea using Christmas tree blocks. Thank you for sharing your quilts.

Both of your quilts are so cute! I really love the trees. These fabrics are wonderful for making them. Great job!
Thank you for your giveaway.
What a sweet project. And so nice you were able to get another great quilt out of the scraps. Thanks for the chance to win.
Both of these projects are adorable. Do you use the Elmers Spray to put the trees on too or are they done with fusible? Please exclude from giveaway, I am an IB Ambassador next year, so just enjoying 2017's last round!
You have 2 winners here AND a great tip! Thank you for sharing wirh us. Your trees are so cute.
Beautiful quilt Barb! I love that AccuQuilt die and it is perfect for all of the beautiful Alpine Jingle fabrics!
I'm in love with your tree quilt; you've used this collection to perfection. It's so darn Christmasy. That's quite the trick to use spray adhesive. I did wonder if you sprayed and let it dry first, would the first time you put it on your finger go better?
Pretty projects, like the differt colored trees and hearts. 24Tangent@gmail.com
I love your Christmas trees but the idea of using the spray on the thimble is brilliant!
wow your quilt is gorgeous. your right, the trees hold their own with those lovely fabrics. what a great idea for the thimble. I will have to remember that. thanks for the tip.

The trees are adorable! Love the tip about the timbles and spray - going to try that!!! mumbird3(at)gmail(dot)com
I love your trees, and appreciate the "scrap" hearts! And I've never seen the Elmers spray adhesive. Did you get that at an art store? Thanks for sharing.
I love that you've used up scraps to make those adorable hearts! Great quilts!
Such a fun quilt! Thank you for sharing.
Very cool tree farm! Have a fun day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
The things I learn from blogs. I figured you were gluing the trees on not gluing a thimble. Genius. Love the trees and hearts. Thanks.
Beautiful, Luscious fabrics. Perfect choice for your Tree Farm and the Bonus Hearts! Thank you for sharing your leftovers along with the snap bag. Now, if I can be oh so lucky, I'll be a happy quilter! :)
I love your tree quilt! It's too cute and so are your hearts! Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win.
Great holiday quilt. I have a huge stash of holiday fabric, maybe I should only make quilts from it for this year.
Love your tree farm quilt and your heart table runner. Excellent tip using the spray glue in the thimble.

Barb, using the batiks to make a tree farm quilt is an awesome idea! Each batik design makes the tree unique and so beautiful. I love that you used the scraps to make a heart quilt too. I've never been fond of thimbles because of the "slippage", so I'll need to remember your tip. Great work, as always!
Your tree and heart quilts are delightful! And I love the way you quilted the tree quilt. Thanks for sharing your creations!
love your trees! a great idea.
Love it! And it's great to see a hand quilted project, good idea on the adhesive, I'll have to try that!
Another wonderful, funderful project!
I'm sure the adhesive company never saw "Thimble Glue" as a use for their product! :) :) :) I LOVE using products for purposes other than [as suggested on packaging] I'm so going to remember your discovery for slipping thimbles! Your trees and hearts ADORABLE! I'm a firm believer that there is always room for one more tree and there is no such thing as too much love.... Great job!
Such a lovely project! Beautifully quilted!
I have trouble with my thimbles too - great tip. Now I have to go to the store to get some spray adhesive!! Your tree quilt is so cute and what a great idea using the fabric to make those snap bags! And the hearts are a great way to use up that left over fabric from the tree quilt!
Love the trees! Thanks for the thimble tip, can't seem to get them to stay on my finger.
I love th e tree quilt and the fact that you used the left overs for the hearts! Thanks for sharing!

Love your trees! The shape reminds me of the cookie cutter my Grandmother had for sugar cookies. It was my favorite cookie to eat. Back then, we would put those silver candy balls on green icing.... The good ol' days. Will have to make at least a mug rug. Thank you!
Love your tree farm and your thimble tip. Happy New YEAR!
