APRIL SHOWERS TRULY DOES BRING MAY FLOWERS!!!

I don't know about you but I believe that there are certain parts of Texas that are going to float away.  We are expected to have more rain this week.

Shreveport is truly going to float away near the Red River.

Relief efforts are in the works for parts of Shreveport.

That being said and prayers their way.

Here is a wonderful quilt using Island Batik fabrics.

I just love this quilt.

Now as for the last giveaway of the Sunshine Topper....you will not believe me if I tell you this but I can not remember who I sent the pattern to.  I sent several people the pattern and for the life of me it is gone.  I even told myself that I would remember.  Have any of you ever done that?

I had heard of flooding in Texas a few weeks back, but not the recent rains and flooding, nor more rain coming. Texas is so soaked, that I suspect any more rain will just make it worse. So sorry to hear about Shreveport. I hope no one will be harmed, nor their homes, but it sounds like devastation is going to happen. Not sure how far you are from this, but I hope you and your family are safe and staying dry. I hope the rain gods will send the rain to California as we could sure use it.

You are so funny...we all forget stuff all the time!! I have decided this year to use a daily planner to keep track of everything I don't want to forget. My family is calling it my Bible.

Oooo....love this and always love Island Batiks! Somehow I missed out on the toppers, love them too. There isn't a thing you do that isn't happy and colorful. I look forward to that. I believe you 100% percent when you say you forgot who you sent the pattern to, uh...I forget something everyday!

LOL....remember anything anymore????? I'm lucky if I remember the person in my mirror some days. ;-)

Yes, Texas is really getting hammered. I so wish there was a way we could take some of their rain.

Watching TV coverage of Texas flooding as I type this. Please be careful out there, everywhere.

Such a sweet quilt, Barb! I love that binding. The blocks are so great. I imagine when you look at the blocks in this quilt that you see many things you've made with those fabrics you used to make the flowers and the patch blocks.

Read this last week and can't believe I didn't leave a comment. Guess I was too focused on the stormy weather and trying to pack up my sewing space and my luggage. Hope you located your pattern! Love this bright, cheery quilt. We escaped the brunt of the storm front, but know others weren't quite so fortunate. Hope you fared okay! XO
