What's for supper Grandpa?
Well.... What is going on over there Barb? Glad you asked....Least ways I got a few emails asking.
Yesterday was spent running around.
Today I had a friend come over, I am helping her design a Bowling quilt for her Brother.
Then more running around.
Well....Saturday while running around with my husband we stopped at Hobby Lobby.
And I found these....
Aren't they cute???? Fifteen cents each....the only problem is they mostly have the initial "I" and one "A"..... So I walked away but then I grabbed my husband arm and said...
"Hold ON".....he heard the breaks screech!!!!
Whoa Nellie!!!
Yep....I couldn't pass them up....fifteen cents....did I say EACH????
My husband is now rolling his eyes (One day he is going to freeze that way).
We get in the car and he goes what on earth did you want those for. I said, I brought 10, that is one dollar and fifty cents....take it out of my pay....HA!!! (no, I didn't say that).
Well.....the wheels were churning
and a churning ( I am thinking in the Young Women mode for church)....
So I pull out my slice
Pull out my Accuquilt go cutter.
Cut circles the size of the circles on the pails from the Go cutter.

Cut each gals initial from the slice
Got some trusty MOD PODGE (you know where I am going with this....I guess I can just stop my post here)
Put some dots around the circle....and this is what I came up with. Oh yes.....do I hear some high fives????? Hasn't dried yet....but we are dancing over here!!
I made just one, this gal can't attend...but the other girls can do their own.

Oh yes.....so Mr. Bejeweled you can bring those rolling eyes from the back of your head now......

Yeap - they are gonna freeze that way - I really like the "take it out of my pay" - gonna grab that one to use. I love to repurpose things, but DWH just does not understand. Thanks for sharing. JudyC
Oh Barb, I love how you think!
Great find! Mr. B should be proud of you.
Well that is just so stinkin cute!!! They are going to love it!
Barb your mind just never stops what a cute idea for just pennies. I have been trying to send you an e-mail with pictures but either I am stupid or the computer is playing games with me. I will keep trying.
Great idea. And at 15 cents each you can't go wrong. I may need to check out my local Hobby Lobby and see what initials they have. :)
You are so clever - what a great way to use those tins. Love it!
You clever thing you! No more rolling eyes Mr.!
LOL!!! Love it!!! That will show Mr. Bejeweled huh =P
Great idea Barb! You're so creative!
Very clever! The young ladies are so going to love this.
love it!!
Wow!!!! Those pails are dirt cheap and husbands always react in the same way. With easter coming soon they have many uses. Just keep on keeping on
Barb, you are a genius!!!
So cute! You have great ideas!
LOL... yes, if you and I went shopping together we could be dangerous!
Love your idea! I love stuff like this and glad you husband's eyes didn't STAY that way!
Brilliant "makeover"!! Who could pass up 15 cents?!!
Very good deal, Barb! Way to stretch that 15 cents into a great gift bucket ~
:-}pokey
Just love the creativity. You see something and you know where it should go. That is a gift. Other people only copy! (like me).
Very clever! Nola
LOL! I bought some of these on sale too. Only not as nice as 15 cents, but there were more choices of letters. After spending way too much time in the store scrutinizing the letters, I finally realized that I could do something for Ed and Sharon. Their anniversary is in Dec, so those little tins are in the attic near the Christmas decor. I wish I'd been as clever as you and made my own letters. :)
I saw those a while back and they were waaAAAYYY more than 15 cents....good score and I love your idea.
Cool idea...always think'n ya are..yeap!
I would have snatched those little buckets up too. So many uses for them.
You are so smart and thrifty...that man of yours will get it soon! Actually, any man that goes to HL with his wife is King in my book!!
Very resourceful and clever!
Very cute, Barb.
You always amaze me! I love your idea.
